AILET 2024 exam is scheduled to take place on December 10, 2023, from 11 AM to 12:30 PM. AILET is conducted by the National Law University, Delhi (NLUD). The university has announced that the AILET 2024 application forms and admission notice will be available on the official website, nationallawuniversitydelhi.in, starting from August 7, 2024. The exam for AILET BA LLB will consist of 150 objective-type questions across English, logical reasoning, and general knowledge, including current affairs. On the other hand, the AILET LLM and PhD exams will focus solely on various aspects of law. Students interested in pursuing law as a career can mark these important dates to ensure timely application and preparation for the AILET 2024 exam.

Prospective candidates are advised to complete their registration before the deadline and stay updated with any announcements or changes through the official website.

  • Registration Deadline: AILET 2024 registration closes on November 15.
  • Registration Process: Candidates can register for the exam on the official website, nationallawuniversitydelhi.in.
  • Exam Date: AILET 2024 is scheduled to be held on December 10, 2023.
  • Admit Card: AILET 2024 admit cards will be available for download on November 20.  Candidates can download the admit card from the official website, nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. The admit card will contain essential details such as the candidate's name, date of birth, exam date, timings, and exam center.
  • Exam Mode and Timing: The exam will be conducted in a pen-paper mode from 11 am to 1 pm.
  • Application Correction Window: Candidates can make changes to their AILET 2024 applications from November 14 to 15, 2023.
  • Exam Cities: The exam will be conducted in various cities across India.
  • Exam Pattern Change: NLU Delhi has introduced a major change in the AILET exam pattern 2024. The exam duration will now be 120 minutes, increased from the previous 90 minutes.
  • Correction Period: Registered candidates can visit the official website to update their details in the application form from November 14 to November 15, 2023, with the exception of mobile number, nationality, and BPL fields.
  • PhD Applicants: Candidates applying for PhD in Social Science are required to update their subject area (Political Science, Sociology, Criminology, Economics, and English) in the application form.
  • Other Entrance Exams: No other entrance exam, including CLAT 2024, is accepted for NLU Delhi admissions.

AILET 2024 Application Form

Stages of AILET 2024 Registration are as follows:

  • Registration of the candidates wherein they will put up their email id, contact number & personal details.
  • The application form will be filled in next using the login credentials sent to emails. Students are supposed to fill in the up correct information and fill the entire mandatory marked fields.
  • Next would be the upload of required documents (scanned copy of the photograph, certificates, etc.)
  • Next up would be the application fee payment.
  • The applicants must keep the xerox of the form for future use.

AILET 2024 Admit Card

AILET Admit Card 2024 is available on the official website of NLU, Delhi (Organizing University). Candidates are supposed to keep the following points in their mind regarding the admit card before they appear for the AILET Examination:
  • It is compulsory to carry the admit card to the exam center along with valid photo ID proof which will help in verification.
  • If there is any discrepancy in the admit card, get in touch with the officials immediately and get it rectified as incorrect information won’t be entertained at the time of examination if found and the chances of not being able to sit for the examination are also high.
  • If the candidates are appearing for the examination in a new city then kindly go and visit the examination center before the day of examination.
  • Students will not be allowed to sit in any other examination center but the one they’ve been allotted to.

AILET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

There is no age limit for any of the programs. AILET 2024 Eligibility Criteria is mentioned below for the aspirants who wish to pursue Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses offered by the National Law Universities across India:

LLMCandidates must have passed graduation in Law from a university recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI). They must have scored at least 50% aggregate marks (45% in the case of SC/ST candidates).
PhDCandidates must have passed Master's degree in Law from a university recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI). They must have scored at least 55% aggregate marks (50% in the case of SC/ST candidates).

AILET 2024 Preparation Tips

AILET Preparation Tips are stated below which can be very useful and helpful for the students who are willing to score well in the Examination:

  • Candidates are requested to go through the Syllabus first of all and then prepare how to go on with each subject which includes the time distribution, management of resources, and various other important factors.
  • Once the preparation chart is ready, start with the preparation which will include studying all the important topics in-depth, not so important topics in brief but do not miss on any topic as this test tests the ability.
  • Try to cover all the topics but will work if the focus will be more on those topics getting more weightage in the exam. Make short notes of all the topics.
  • Daily revision is an important practice to keep things in memory.

AILET 2024 Answer Key

After successfully conducting the AILET 2024 examination, NLU has released an answer key on the official website. The answer key consists of all the correct answers and candidates can calculate their probable score by using it & the marking scheme. In case if any candidate is not satisfied with the answers in the answer key then they can object to it online and after that, the subject experts check the issue of candidates and releases a final answer key based on which it prepares the merit list of the candidates. The process to calculate the raw score of AILET 2024.
  • Add the +1 mark for each correct answer.
  • Deduct -0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
  • Add total marks scored at last.

AILET 2024 Result

AILET 2024 Result will be released on the official website for BA LLB (Hons.) course and or LLM students. Students are requested to keep a track of their result announcement after which the process of counseling will begin and only those who could qualify for the examination will be taken further for counseling. Students will need their login credentials to get their results online.

AILET 2024 Counselling

AILET 2024 Counselling has started from from 20th December 2022 for qualifying students and will be eligible to sit for the counseling and will be allotted a seat for which they have applied for. The process will be held in offline mode at the National Law University, Delhi based on the Merit list. Documents required at the time of counseling are listed below:

About National Law University, Delhi

The NLDU was established in the year 2008. It offers various Undergraduate & Post Graduate courses. It is built on the five-year law degree modal & implemented by the Bar Council of India. The National Law University, Delhi offers a five-year Undergraduate B.A, LLB (Hons) program & also provides a one-year LL.M. program. The admission to the Undergraduate courses is given based on the score of the All India Law Entrance Test which is organized by the University.

About All India Law Entrance Test

The AILET is organized to get admission into the NLDU. Candidates who qualify for the exam get admitted to the courses like B.A. L.L.B (Hons), L.L.M, and Ph.D. Degree Programs.  The exam is organized yearly at the National level. There are 73 seats in B.A. L.L.B course, 20 in L.L.M and Ph.D. seats usually do not exceed over 10.
