RUHS B.Sc Nursing Entrance Examination 2023: Application, Dates

RUHS Nursing Entrance Examination 2023 will be organised by Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur for admission into various nursing courses. Candidates wishing to pursue a nursing course from the university can apply via online mode. Admission into B.Sc. Nursing (4 years) & Post Basic B.Sc. and MSc. Nursing will be through an entrance test conducted in various centres across Jaipur. The entrance test will be a computer-based test and is organised once a year at the state level. Candidates, who have completed the senior secondary school education from any school affiliated with a state or central board of secondary education, can take part in RUHS BSc, nursing entrance exam. MSc nursing aspirants should at least have completed BSc nursing from a recognised institution. RUHS B.Sc Nursing 2023

Rajasthan University of Health Science (RUHS) has released the entrance result for B.Sc Nursing 2022 on the official website at bscnursing2022.com. All candidates who appeared for the exam can now check their result online by visiting the website and entering their details such as Name, Roll Number and Date of Birth.

How to fill RUHS Nursing Admission 2023 Form?

• Candidates need to login to the official website of Rajasthan University of Health Sciences and fill in the application form.
• Applicants need to carefully fill the application form with all the correct information.
• Candidates will be required to upload the scanned photo and the signature in the prescribed format.
• After clicking on “submit the form” candidates will have to pay the application fee via net baking/credit/debit card.
• Candidates have to take a print out of RUHS application form with the registration number for further purpose.

RUHS Nursing Entrance Examination 2023 Eligibility Criteria

1. Eligibility Criteria for Bachelor of Science in Nursing (4 years)

Basic qualification:

• Candidates must have passed the Senior Secondary School Examination from a school affiliated to a state or central board of secondary education.
• Applicants must have obtained a minimum 45% or more marks in their aggregate percentage total.
• Taking into consideration, all the students have passed the 4 subjects that are English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology separately.
• Candidates of natural-born scheduled caste and scheduled tribe should have a 40% aggregate with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the qualifying examination.
• Selection of the candidates for admission would be based on the merit of the entrance examination held by the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur

Age limit: The age of the candidates must not be less than 17 years.

2. Eligibility Criteria for Post Basic Nursing(Non- service candidates)

Basic qualification:

• Applicants must have completed the ‘10 +2’ or passed an equivalent exam of higher secondary level from a school affiliated to a recognized Board of secondary education.
• The candidate must have obtained a diploma in general nursing before the implementation of new integrated course.
• The candidate should have a diploma in general nursing and midwifery after the implementation of the integrated course and should be a registered midwife and nurse with their state council.
• The candidate should have undergone GNM[General Nursing And Midwifery] with a registered institution recognised by Indian Nursing Council.

Age limit: The age of the applicants should lie between17 years and 28 years.

Physical criteria for RUHS Nursing Admission 2020: Must be medically fit.

Eligibility criteria for in-service candidates

• The Candidates should be in – service of the Government of Rajasthan
• He/she should have done at least two years of continuous service after regular appointment by the Government of Rajasthan.
• The Candidate would be required to submit a certificate of the same duly signed by the Director, Medical & Health Services, Government of Rajasthan.
• Candidate cannot add/ alter in the prescribed certificate proforma.

NOTE:

• The certificate submitted by the In-Service Candidates must clearly show that the person concerned is serving the Government of Rajasthan for at least 2 years, after the regular appointment.
• The candidate fails to submit will be considered as non-service category applicant.

Eligibility criteria for MSc. Aspirants

For Non-Service Candidates:

• The candidate must have passed Basic B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing (Hons)/ Post-Basic (T&R) B.Sc. Nursing from Rajasthan University of Health Sciences/ University of Rajasthan/ other recognized University.
• The candidate should be a registered nurse and registered midwife or equivalent to their state Nursing Registration Council; the institution from which they have pursued their graduation must be recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
• No age limit for admission to M.Sc. Nursing Course.
• Candidate must have a minimum of one year of work experience after passing B.Sc. Nursing / Prior or After Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing till the last date of submission of Application Form to RUHS, Jaipur.

For In-Service Candidates: (Rajasthan State Govt. Employee)

• In addition to the eligibility criteria for non-service candidates, the in-service applicant must satisfy the given below eligibility criteria as well
• The candidate should be in service of the State Government of Rajasthan.
• He/she should have completed at least have two years of continuous service after regular appointment by of Rajasthan

RUHS Nursing Entrance Exam 2023 Pattern

Paper Pattern for B.Sc. Nursing:

• QUESTION STANDARD: 10+2 Science (Biology) of Senior Secondary Education Board Rajasthan, Ajmer or equivalent.
• DURATION OF EXAM: 2 hours duration containing
• NUMBER OF QUESTIONS: 100
• WEIGHTAGE: Each question will carry one mark
• QUESTION TYPE: Multiple choice questions.
• SUBJECTs : Biology(Zoology & Botany) ,Physics, Chemistry
• MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION: English and Hindi.
• If any discrepancy is found in question paper then the English version will be given priority.
• There will not be any provision of negative marking.

Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing:

• QUESTION STANDARD: GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) course or equivalent.
• DURATION OF EXAM: 2 hours
• NUMBER OF QUESTIONS: 120
• WEIGHTAGE: Each question will carry one mark
• There will be no negative marking
• QUESTION TYPE: Multiple choice questions
• MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION: English and Hindi
• if any discrepancy is there the English Version get Priority

M.Sc Nursing

• QUESTION STANDARD: B.Sc. Nursing Examination (Syllabus) of Rajasthan University of Health Sciences and will cover all the subjects of the B.Sc. Nursing Course
•  DURATION OF EXAM: 2 hours duration
• NUMBER OF QUESTIONS:120
• QUESTION TYPE: Multiple choice questions.
• WEIGHTAGE: Each question will carry one mark

IMPORTANT POINTS:

• Online Exam(Computer Based) will be held on 19th August 2020 (SUNDAY)
• The allotments of Centre, Roll Nos., and seating arrangement will be according to the University.
• The candidate should take his/her seat at least Two hours before the exam. A candidate entering the exam hall after 15 minutes of the exam will not be permitted to write the exam
• There will not be any Negative Marking
• The candidate will be required to produce an Admission Card with one ID before he/she is allowed to enter the examination centre.
•  No Candidate will be allowed to carry any text material written or printed, bits of paper or any other material except the admission card inside the hall.
• Cellular/Mobile Phone/Pager/Calculator or any other electronic devices will not be permitted in the examination hall

RUHS Nursing Entrance Examination 2023 Admit Card

The admit card for the different nursing course under RUHS will be available on the official website on the announced date [will be released soon] . Candidates will have to download the admit card with from the official website before the last date. Applicants are required to take a print out of the admit card. Entry into the examination centre will not be possible without the admit card.

Admit card will not be sent by post to any registered candidates.

Selection Criteria for RUHS Nursing Courses

The admission will be made as per merit of Entrance Examination. In case of two or more candidates obtaining same marks in the exam, the Inter-se merit of such candidates shall be determined in order of preference as follows

• TOTAL NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS FOR PASSING B.SC. NURSING; The candidate with less number of attempts shall get the preference
• DATE OF BIRTH: older age candidate will get preference over a younger candidate
• Candidates with Higher Marks obtained in Senior Secondary (10+2) Exam will get preference over candidates with lower marks

Seat Reservations in RUHS Nursing Courses:

• 16%, 12%, 21% of total seats will be reserved for naturally born candidates of SC/ST/OBC Candidates respectively (not adopted) as notified in the Presidential Order for the State of Rajasthan
• Out of 12% of ST, 45% Seats are Reserved for STA (Scheduled Tribal Area Candidates)
• 3% seats of the annual sanctioned intake capacity shall be filled up by candidates with locomotory disability of lower limbs from 50% to 70%
• Provided that in case any seat in this 3% quota remains unfilled on account of unavailability of candidates with locomotory disability of lower limbs from 50% to 70% then any such unfilled seat in this 3% quota shall be filled up by a person with locomotor disability of lower limbs
• Out of 25 seats of Govt. College of Nursing, Jaipur, 10 seats are reserved for in-service regular and eligible employees of Govt. of Rajasthan
• In the Government College, 100% seats (of the intake sanctioned) shall be filled through entrance exam conducted by RUHS Session 2020-21 and only In-service candidates shall be admitted in Govt. College
• In Private Nursing Colleges only 50% seats (of the intake sanctioned) shall be filled through RUHS Session 2020-21

RUHS Nursing Entrance Exam 2023 Counselling

Counselling will start after the declaration of the result. Counselling will be done o the basis of their merit list. Only appearing candidates will be eligible for a counselling session. Applicants need to submit all the necessary documents at the time of document verification to the college authorities. Once the document are verified by the authorities they will get admission in the university.
