Andhra Pradesh DEECET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
It is informed to aspirants to read instructions from the information brochure carefully before applying for the exam. Applicants who fail to fulfil any eligibility criteria will be disqualified from the exam. Therefore, it is required that the applicant fulfil all the eligibility. Eligibility criteria of Andhra Pradesh Diploma in Education Common Entrance Test 2024 are mentioned below.
An only Indian citizen can apply for this exam.
Age Limit: The applicant must have completed 17 years as on September 2024. There is no upper limit for age.
Educational Qualification: Before initializing the application procedure of AP DEECET, candidates must go through the necessary educational qualification. Required Educational Qualification for Andhra Pradesh DEECET is as follow:
- The applicant must pass or appear in 10+2 during 2018-19 final exam or equivalent are eligible to appear for the entrance test. However, they should exam by the time of admission.
- The candidate who has passed the class 10+2 will be eligible for AP DEECET exam 2024.
- The applicants must pass with 50 per cent of marks in aggregate in qualifying exam for DEECET – 2020 for both A and B category. The candidate who belong to Schedule caste, Scheduled Tribe and Physically challenged candidates must have minimum 45% of marks.
- An applicant who belongs to “O.C” and “B.C” communities should obtain minimum 50% marks in DEECET 2020. For scheduled caste, Schedule Tribe and Physically challenged applicants must obtain at least 45% of marks. The applicant who belongs to SC and ST categories should secure 50% of marks for consideration against seats under OC/NCC/CAP/ Sports
Note: The applicants who passed intermediate with vocational courses will not eligible.

The whole question paper of AP DEECET 2024 will have objective type question. The applicant has to answer 100 MCQ Questions. The question paper consists of two parts, Part-A and Part- B. Part-A will carry 60 marks and Part-B will carry 40 marks.

Seat Allotment
All the seat intake of government DIET will be filled on the basis of rank obtained in the DEECET- 2020 on the basis of the rule of reservation vide 6 and 7. The seats allotted to the private and Un-aided institutions will be classified as (1) category seats ‘A’ and (2) category seats ‘B’. The category ‘A’ seats shall be 80% of the sanctioned intake seats in private institutions shall be filled on the based of rank obtained in the AP DEECET 2020. The category ‘B’ seats of private colleges shall be 20% of total intake seats. These 20% seats will be available to applicants who appeared in AP DEECET 2020 and has been assigned rank in the common merit list.

Andhra Pradesh DEECET 2024 Counselling
Department of School Education Government of Andhra Pradesh will declare a schedule of counselling after releasing of merit list. The candidates who have clear the merit list will be called for admission counselling. The counselling will be conducted in two phases i.e. Phase 1 and Phase 2.
AP DEECET 2024 Minimum Qualifying Marks
To get admission into D.El.Ed course the candidate has to secure the minimum qualifying marks.
- For “OC” and “BC” communities shall secure the minimum qualifying marks are 50% in DEECET.
- For Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Physically Challenged candidates the minimum qualifying mark for allotment of seats reserved under the respective categories will be 45%.
- The candidates belonging to SC/ST communities, and have registered themselves under OC/ NCC / CAP /Sports category, should secure at least 50% marks.
