AP TET 2023: Application Form, Eligibility Criteria

AP TET 2023 Notification will be announced by Higher Education Board of Andhra Pradesh in the first week of June. Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test is the State-level eligibility test organised for the recruitment of applicants in various private and government schools, every year. Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test 2023 Status

The AP TET 2023 exam will be conducted by the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) Cell. The exam will be held in two phases: Paper-I and Paper-II. Paper-I will be conducted for the elementary level teachers, while Paper-II will be conducted for the secondary level teachers.

The exam will be a computer-based test (CBT). The duration of Paper-I will be 2 hours, while the duration of Paper-II will be 2.5 hours. The question paper will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs).

The APTET 2023 exam is a qualifying exam for the recruitment of teachers in government schools in Andhra Pradesh. The candidates who qualify the exam will be eligible for the recruitment process.

APTET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Here, candidates can check the eligibility criteria for APTET 2023:

Educational qualifications for APTET paper 1

• Candidate should be 12^th pass (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks, 45% for SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) /  2 year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

• Should have passed 12th (or it’s equivalent) with at least 45% marks for general category candidates, 40% for SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates and  Diploma in Elementary Education / Bachelor of Elementary Education. (B.El.Ed.) / Diploma in Education (Special Education) in case of the candidates, who have passed or been admitted to D.El.Ed / D.Ed., course before the issue of these guidelines.

Educational Qualifications For APTET Paper 2

• 50% marks in B.A./B.Sc./B.Com., 45% for SC/ST/BC/Differently Abled candidates. AND B.Ed./ (B.Ed -Special Education).

• 50% marks in B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. 40% for SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates. AND B.Ed. / B.Ed. – (Special Education) in the case of the candidates, who have passed or been admitted to B.Ed., courses before the issue of these guidelines.

•  50% marks in B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed, in the case of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, 05% marks relaxation will be given.

• Graduation with the concerned language as one of the Optional Subjects /Graduation in Literature / Bachelor of Oriental Language (or its equivalent) / Post Graduation in Language concerned and Language Pandit Training Certificate/ B.Ed. with concerned language as one of the Methodologies, in respect of Language Teachers.

APTET 2023 Admit Card

• Candidates may download the Hall Ticket from the official site of APBSE.
• It has all the details regarding the candidate and examination such as name, father’s name, mother’s name, DOB, date& timings of the examination, venue of the examination.
• Instructions which are to be followed are mentioned on it. Keep remembering to bring the admit card on the date of the examination. Without the admit card, the examiner will not allow the candidate to appear for the examination.

AP TET 2023 Result

APTET 2023 Selection Procedure

The Board conducts two papers (Paper-I and Paper-II). Paper, I will be set for those candidates who wish to teach for 1 to 5 classes can apply. While Paper-II will be set those candidates who wish to become a teacher for six to eight classes. An applicant can attend both of the papers (classes one to five and classes six to eight).
