BDS degree is awarded on the successful completion of the 4-year academic education only. The 1-year mandatory internship programme in dentistry education is provided leading to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree programme. After completing this degree once is eligible to practice as a dentist.

Entrance Exam for BDS Admission 

To pursue the course of BDS one should have a valid score of NEET-UG(National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Under Graduate), a competitive exam which is held at the National level for all medical courses which is conducted by the NTA(National Testing Agency).

Scope of BDS Degree

With the increase in the number of dental patients, there is an increase in demand for a dentist in the country.
