Reserved Category Students Finding It Difficult To Upload Attested Certificates: The University of Delhi has started its admission process for all the UG, PG courses. As per the latest updates regarding the procedure, several candidates from Other backward classes (OBC) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) categories are facing problems in the online registration process.

Such candidates are unable to upload their attested certificates verified under their eligibility for the seats under the categories mentioned above. As per the guidelines, attested certificates that candidates need to upload should be issued on or after 31 March 2020, for the guaranteed admission.
However, due to the lockdown imposed by the Government of India considering COVID-19 issue, both government and private officials are forced to remain away. As a result, the candidates are unable to get the newly issued certificates. Thus, several OBC category or any other category candidates could not get an updated certificate issued this year to be uploaded for admission purpose. Moreover, candidates from some region do not have internet access to fill the application form online. Similar issues are being registered by the EWS category students as well.

Considering this problem, DU’s SC, ST, and OBC teachers’ association have also written to the DU vice-chancellor Yogesh Tyagi that candidates be admitted upon furnishing a self-declaration and a previously issued certificate. Many applicants are also found unable to apply for new certificates online.
Thus, after accepting and reviewing the situation, the administration has stated that the candidates can upload their acknowledgement slips of certificate applications for the time being and then produce the certificates at the time of registration. The administration has also stated that candidates can also apply online for the new certificates while uploading the application slip. The university has said that it would help the students in case more time is needed to upload the certificates.

Required Documents for DU Admission 2022
Candidates have to upload the following documents in the application form while the registration for Delhi University:
- A valid Email ID
- A valid Mobile Number
- SC/ST/OBC/EWS/CW/KM Certificate
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate
- EWS Certificate from competent authority certifying the student can claim reservation under this category
- Class X and Class XII (Marksheet and Certificate)
- Correct spelling of Father’s and Mother’s names
- Aadhar Number
- Scanned images of passport-sized candidate’s photograph
- Scanned images of signature in the prescribed dimensions. (Format and dimensions are given below)
- Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking details (for online payment)
