IGNOU B.Sc. Nursing Admission 2024 Eligibility Criteria
For securing admission in Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from IGNOU must fulfil the below-given eligibility criteria:
- Passed 10+2 with 3 years Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with at least 2 years of working experience (after registration as RNRM). OR
- Passed 10th standard or its equivalent with 3 years Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with at least 5 years of working experience (after registration as RNRM).
- Male candidates without midwifery in the GNM programme should possess a certificate in any of the Nursing courses of 6-9 months duration.
- Candidates should be Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives (RNRM).
- Age Limit – There is no age bar for admission in IGNOU Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing programme.
IGNOU B.Sc. Nursing Admission 2024 Exam Pattern
Before filling the OPENNET application form, candidates must have minimum 2 years of experience i.e. from date of Registration as RNRM till the last date of filling the application form. IGNOU B.Sc. Nursing Entrance Exam pattern is given below:

Based on the marks obtained in the OPENNET exam merit list will be prepared for admission to Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing and will be displayed at the official website of IGNOU.
- Admission will be offered after the verification of all the certificates and candidates are required to deposit the programme fee (non-refundable).
- As per merit rank and availability of seats Programme Study Centre (PSC) will be allotted to the candidates.
IGNOU B.Sc. Nursing Result and Counselling 2024
After the completion of the entrance test, the result of the entrance examination is declared in mid of October/ November and will be uploaded on the official website of IGNOU (www.ignou.ac.in).
