Kerala University Distance Education Admission 2023 is ongoing. THE SCHOOL OF DISTANCE EDUCATION, started in 1976, as a teaching and research department of the University of Kerala, is one of the pioneering centres of distance learning in the State. The School is located in the Senate House Campus at Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram. The institute was founded with the following objectives. Democratizing higher education to large segments of the population, in particular, the disadvantaged groups like those living in remote and rural areas, working people and women. The School offers 25 programmes, both UG and PG through distance mode of learning. The medium of instruction for all courses is English School of Distance Education except for certain language courses. Kerala University Distance Education Admission 2023 Status

• The online registration process for admission to UG and PG programmes for the academic year 2023-24 has started. The last date to register is 31 August 2023.
• The application fee for UG and PG programmes is Rs. 250.
• The prospectus for the academic year 2023-24 is available on the official website of Kerala University Distance Education (KU SDE).
• The admission process for UG and PG programmes is based on merit.
• The selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the qualifying examination and the interview.

Kerala University Distance Education 2023 Application Form

The details regarding the Kerala University Distance Education 2023 application form are given below:

• Kerala University application form will release in June 2023.
• The application form will release in online mode.
• Candidates will be able to fill the application form from the official website.
• The last date to fill the application form will be in August 2023.
• Moreover, candidates may keep a copy of the filled application form for further use.

2. Click on the “Admission” tab.
3. Click on the “UG/PG Admission 2023-24” link.
4. Fill out the online application form.
5. Upload the required documents.

Kerala University Distance Education Application Process

Candidates who are willing to take admission in any of distance education course must apply online on the official website of the university.

• Application forms are only available in online mode. Further candidates need to submit the filled-in application form to the Director, School of Distance Education, University of Kerala, Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 034 by registered post with acknowledgement.
• Candidates can obtain the prospectus from the registrar office by payment of Rs. 250/-

Documents Required

Candidates must submit the following documents along with the application form:

• Original Certificate/Provisional Certificate/Mark list of the qualifying examination.
• In the absence of the original degree, a Provisional Certificate issued from the university will be accepted for granting provisional admission. Admission thus granted will be regularized only on submission of the original Degree Certificate. Those who apply for M.Sc. Mathematics, M.A. Public Administration and BLISc. are required to submit attested copy of their Degree mark lists also.
• Original Transfer Certificate from the institution last attended. In case such certificate is not issued from the institution last attended, a Certificate stating this fact duly signed by the competent authority of that institution should be submitted along with the application for admission.
• If Institutions are not in the practice of issuing TC to their student’s such students shall be admitted to any programme of study in SDE on the strength of an affidavit attested by a Notary Public/Second Class Judicial Magistrate in lieu of TC along with a letter from the Institution stating that they do not issue TC.
• Students above the age of 60 years are exempted from submitting TC for admission.
• University Pay-in-Slip/DD for the required amount of tuition/other fees remitted as stated in the fee statement.
• Eligibility Certificate shall be obtained from the Registrar, University of Kerala if the Candidate has passed the qualifying examination from outside Kerala University and shall be produced at the time of admission.
• This certificate will be issued by the Registrar, on the formal application (in the prescribed form which can be downloaded from University website), addressed to him and accompanied by a fee of Rs 2000/- for Foreign Degree/ Diplomas, Rs. 350/- for PG and Professional Degree from outside Kerala, but within India and Rs. 200/- for all other Degree/Diploma.
• The application should be accompanied by School of Distance Education attested copies of the Certificates of all examinations passed by the candidates (right from SSLC) along with the copy of the TC/Course Certificate (in the case of regular students) of the degree for which eligibility is required along with self-addressed stamped envelop.
• Those who passed HSE/VHSE/CBSE seeking admission to Degree Programmes have to pay the fee of Rs. 200/- only instead of eligibility certificate.
• Identity Card with name and address of the applicant duly filled up in capital letters and photograph affixed.
• True Copy of SSLC
• Migration Certificate in the case of candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from any University/Board other than Kerala University. Candidates shall also produce the certificate immediately after taking admission to the course.
• Cancellation Memo from the Controller of Examination relating to Examination/unravelled portion of private registration if any has to be submitted by the candidates who have cancelled part/parts of examinations.
• Degree Certificate or Provisional Certificate relating to the PG Course, if the candidate has passed any such examination after graduation.
• PDC/+2 or Equivalent – Mark list and pass Certificate for those who have qualified from any University or Board.
• Photocopy of the Original Degree Certificate (both sides) – 2 Copies
• Completed E Grantz form from Akshaya Kendra for SC / ST / OEC Candidates.
• Caste and Income Certificate, along with a copy of Adhar card, Copies of SSLC, Plus two and Degree.
• Duly filled Identity card with Photo affixed.

• B.A. Economics: Candidate must pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the State or an Examination accepted by the University as equivalent thereto.
• B.A. English: Candidate must pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the State or an Examination accepted by the University as equivalent thereto.
• B.A. History: Candidate must pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the State or an Examination accepted by the University as equivalent thereto.
• B.A. Hindi: Candidate must pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the State or an Examination accepted by the University as equivalent thereto.
• B.A. Malayalam: Candidate must pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the State or an Examination accepted by the University as equivalent thereto.
• B.A. Political Science: Candidate must pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the State or an Examination accepted by the University as equivalent thereto.
• B.A. Sociology: Candidate must pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the State or an Examination accepted by the University as equivalent thereto.
