Meghalaya Board of Secondary Education, abbreviated as MBOSE was established in the year 73. The board has authority to conduct, regulate, and supervise SSLC and HSSLC examinations and some other exams too in Meghalaya. MBOSE was initially established to control and conduct the SSLC Exam but when the Pre-University degree was discontinued by the North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) in 96, MBOSE has the responsibility for conducting the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) as well as the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) Exam in the state. Meghalaya Board of Secondary Education (MBOSE) is among one of the oldest boards in India and works under the Ministry Government of the Meghalaya State.
