NMMS is a scholarship exam that is conducted for class 8 students in Maharashtra. Students who pass this exam are given financial assistance for their further education. The results of NMMS 2024 are expected to be announced in February 2024.

- 1. Download the application form from the official website of MHRD or ask for the form from their school
- Fill in all the details mentioned in the form
- Attach copies of the documents required
- Submit the form along with the documents and the fee receipt to the school headmaster
- If you are filling the form individually then you have to submit the form directly to the Liaison Officer.
NMMS Maharashtra 2024 Eligibility Criteria
- Students who have completed the VII (7th) class and are in VIII (8th) class
- The criteria are also formulated on the basis of aggregate percentage marks and parental income
- Students who are eligible for the NMMS Online Application Registration according to the specified eligibility criteria, can apply through their respective schools.
- Income Level should be less than 1,50,000/-
- Minimum percentage is 55% or equivalent grade of the General category students and 50% for SC/ST/PWD.
- Students studying in Kendriya Vidyalayas are not eligible for the NMMS Scholarship.
- Students studying in Residential schools that are funded by the State Government Institutions are also not eligible for the NMMS Scholarship.
- Private school students are also not eligible for the Scholarship.

NMMS Maharashtra 2024 Model question papers
The model question papers for the NMMS Exam can be collected from the official site of NCERT or the NMMS official site. NMMS Maharashtra 2024 Admit Card
The Admit Card for the state-wide NMMS Scholarship exam is published by the respective state boards in the month of October. Students can download their admit cards from the official website and students are required to keep the admit card with them throughout the examination.
Selection Process for NMMS Maharashtra 2024
The scholarship will be awarded to the students on the basis of the cut-off marks given by the conducting authority. Students have to clear the written exam to be eligible for the scholarship benefits. The result of the exam is released by the state governments boards. The dates differ for every state.
The cut-off marks will be available on the official website after the examination results are out. The passing criteria for the NMMS exam are 40% marks in each paper. For the reserved category, the passing requirement is 32% marks in each paper.
Benefits of the scheme
- Students who are selected by the boards on the basis of the written examination are awarded a quarterly stipend as prescribed.
- The amount of the scholarship is proposed to be Rs. 12,000 per year @ Rs. 1000 per month
- The amount of the stipend is directly sent to the beneficiary’s bank account.
- The amount will start getting credited from class IX onwards
- The duration of the stipend through the scholarship is for 4 years.
