NTRUHS Nursing Entrance Exam 2023 Application form

• Aspirants can fill the application form from the official website as per the scheduled date.
• It is important to read the instructions/ prospectus carefully before filling the application form.
• If necessary, candidates can also take the printout of the prospectus.

Application fee:

The application fee is to be paid by the candidate in order to completely register for the entrance exam. It will have to be paid online either through net banking, credit card or debit card.

Verification fee: The candidates who have done their graduation outside the State or Country/Abroad and have their certificates registered with Nursing Council of India will have to pay a verification fee.

NTRUHS Nursing Entrance Exam 2023 Eligibility Criteria

All the candidates wishing to get admission into various nursing courses of Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences should thoroughly read the eligibility criteria or download the prospectus before registering for the entrance exam. The eligibility guidelines are as follows.

BSc.Nursing Eligibility

CITIZENSHIP:

• Candidates should be an Indian citizen.
• NRI candidates who have Indian origin and belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh/Telangana are also eligible.

AGE CRITERIA-

• Candidates should be 17 years of age (as on 31 December 2019)
• Age relaxation of 3 years is available only for SC/ST candidates.
• Applicants should be physically fit.

QUALIFICATION CRITERIA:

• Candidates must have passed their 10+2 with physics, chemistry and biology as their compulsory subjects from a recognized board.
• Minimum percentage aggregate (general category): 45% in their 10+2 exams and Minimum percentage aggregate (reserved category i.e. SC/ST/OBC): 40% marks.
• Candidates who have done intermediate vocational with bridge courses in physical and biological sciences or diploma in medical laboratory technology are also eligible to apply.

Post Basic Nursing Eligibility

QUALIFICATION CRITERIA:

• Candidates should have passed the Intermediate Examination or any other equivalent examination (10+2 pattern) recognized by the University in Andhra Pradesh or Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh.
• Candidates should have passed General Nursing and Midwifery from an institution recognized by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh or Nursing Council of India.
• The Qualifying marks for Computer Based (Online) Entrance Test for general and OBC category are 40% and 30% for SC, ST Candidates.
• He/she should be registered with the State Nursing Council.

Nationality:

• The Candidates seeking admission into Post Basic B.Sc., (N) Course under Management Quota should also qualify in the Entrance Test for admission into the university.
• The candidate should be of Indian Nationality or a person of Indian origin (P.I.O) / overseas citizen of India (OCI) cardholders or Foreign Nationals.
• The P.I.O’s, OCI Cardholders and Foreign Nationals should have to submit No Objection Certificates from the Nursing Council of India.
• Only Women Candidates are eligible for admission into Post Basic B.Sc., Nursing.

Government Service Candidates:

• Should have completed 2 years of service as a staff nurse in Medical and Health Department and Andhra Pradesh Vaidya Vidhana Parishad as on 30 June 2017.
• The aspirant should submit Service certificate as a staff nurse issued by the respective employer.
• He/she must be a regular employee.
• Service certificate, regularization orders as staff nurse should be enclosed with the application form.

MSc. Nursing Eligibility

CITIZENSHIP: Candidates should be Indian National and should satisfy Local or Non-Local status.

AGE LIMIT: Both the Service and Non-service candidates should not be older than 45 years of age as on 31st December. For candidates belonging to SC and ST’s the maximum age limit shall be 48 years.

GENDER: Both women and men candidates are eligible to apply for the M.Sc (Nursing) in Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences.

BASIC QUALIFICATION: 

• The candidate should have passed B.Sc., (Nursing) /B.Sc., Hons (Nursing)/Post Basic B.Sc., (Nursing) from an Institution which is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
•  Candidates of general and OBC category should achieve a minimum of 55% aggregate in their graduation.
•  5% relaxation of marks for SC and ST category candidates
• The candidate should have scored not less than 45 marks in the Entrance Test.
• In the case of SC and ST candidates, minimum marks cannot be less than 35 marks.
• The aspirant must be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife of Indian Nursing Council, applicable for Service and Non-Service candidates.

 Experience:

1. Service Candidates

Should be a regular employee of the Government of AP/Telangana

Candidate must have put in not less than 5 years of Service of the said Dept. in any capacity in Nursing as on 31 August 2017.

2. Regular Candidates (Non-Service candidates)
3. a) Minimum of one year work experience after Registration of B.Sc. nursing course (as on 31 August 2017)
4. b) Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Registration of Post Basic B.Sc. nursing course( as on 31 August 2017)

Note: Experience Certificate once submitted is final. No changes/ no revised service certificate will be accepted after submission of application.

The candidates who have not done relevant service and not submitted requisite service certificate, applications such as these will be rejected and no further correspondence will be entertained.

Physical fitness For NTRUHS Nursing Entrance Exam 2023

The candidate shall be medically fit.

Note: The candidates who qualified Post Basic B.Sc.(Nursing) from IGNOU through distance education are also eligible, if the study centre is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.

Post-Basic Nursing Exam Pattern

• Language medium: English
• Duration of the exam: 90 minutes.
• The total number of question:  100.
• Question type: Objective (multiple choice questions)
• Weightage: Each correct answer will be given 1 mark.
• Negative Marking: No negative marking

• The standard of the examination: GNM(General Nursing and Midwifery) course
• The approximate distribution of questions is as follows. There may be some changes between the subjects.

NTRUHS Nursing Entrance Exam 2023 Admit card

• Candidate can download the admit card from the official website by entering their registration number and date of birth after completing the application process.
• Admit card is mandatory for entry into the examination centre.
• Therefore, candidates are required to print a hard copy of the admit card.

NTRUHS Nursing Entrance Exam 2023 Result

The list of provisionally successful candidates along with their marks, categories and ranks shall be notified in press or notice board at the colleges and in the official website of Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences Office, Vijayawada.

For MSc nursing

If the entrance result of candidates appears the same, then their merit will be decided upon their BSc marks aggregate. If it still persists then the older candidate will be given preference.

For BSc post-Basic nursing

If the entrance result of candidates appears the same, then their merit will be decided upon their GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) marks aggregate. If it still persists then the older candidate will be given preference

NTRUHS Nursing Entrance Exam Counselling 2023

Admissions into nursing Courses for the academic year 2020-21 will be purely based on the merit list and as per regulations for the colleges located in Andhra Pradesh. The selected candidates will be notified of the web- counselling process by the required authorities.
