The candidate must be aware of the admission application process. For successful completion of the application, the candidates have to strictly follow the application process. 

• Candidates have to download the application form from the official site i.e  www.oav.edu.in
• Keep all the required documents ready before filling the application form.
• Lastly, they must have the passport size photograph. 

Submission of Application Form

Once the application form is filled one needs to submit the application form to the principal of the Vidyalaya. The application form has to be submitted along with the following documents.

• Birth certificate of the student
• A confirmation from the headmaster of the past school about the class in which the student is studying or has passed.
• The residential certificate from concerned Sarpanch/ Councilor/ Corporator/ Competent authority.
• Adhar details for the student as well as the parents.

Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Admission 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must check the eligibility requirement to fill the form. There are certain parameters of the eligibility that candidates have to fulfil in order to proceed in the application. 

• Candidates must be permanent residents of Odisha. (student is coming from a school outside the state, it will be also mandatory to show the residential certificate too). 
• Candidates appearing for the entrance test must be studying in Class-V for the entire academic session in a Government/Government-Aided.
• Age must be between 9 to 13 years.
• The children passing out of schools running under State Government/ICSE/CBSE/ Odia Medium Private
• Reservation:e The quota of reservation in  OAVs will be Block specific. Reservation is based on caste, category as  well as sex.
• Preference will be given in admission to the wards of employees of OAVs on a priority basis.   They have to appear for the entrance test as they will be selected against the posts earmarked for their respective category.
• 50% of seats are to be reserved for girls in each category. In case of non-availability of students in any category;  the vacancies shall be transferred as follows and filled up accordingly.

• The students reading in class VI, VII & VIII only may seek for transfer from one OAV to another OAV only when there is no OAV in his /her present block.
• Students reading in class  IX  &  X  are not eligible because they have already enrolled in CBSE, New Delhi.
• Transfer of students is only possible to the Vidyalayas where seats in the respective categories are available.
• When a parent or the guardian is transferred, the OVA is opened in his own block or another ground for the growth of education of the child.The transfer of the student within the district can only be made effective after permission is obtained from the Collector and Chairman OAVs of the District.
