Sainik School Admission 2024 exam will be conducted on April 2024. The application form for the Sainik School Entrance Examination (SSEE) 2024 will be released in October 2023.. NTA is the conducting body of the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) scheduled to be held on April 2024. Sainik School Admissions take place for the Class VI and Class IX for the academic year through AISSEE. Sainik School  Admission 2024 Application Form

In order to successfully complete the application process, one need to follow the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Online Registration

  • Visit the official website of  All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) i.e aissee.nta.nic.in 
  • Click on the “ AISSEE 2024 Application Form
  • As per school record enter the details such as Candidates Name/ Mothers Name/ Fathers Name, Official Date of Birth in dd/mm/yyyy.
  • Enter one of the identification details such as School ID card or PAN Card or Aadhaar Number (last 4 digits), Passport Number or any other Photo Identity Card issued by the Government
  • Now enter the valid email id and mobile no. and complete communication address. 
  • Registration will be done and a login id will be generated.
  • Use the login id to access the account and complete the process. 

Step 2: Fill the Application Form

  • Enter the details such as choice of the school, the choice of the examination cities. 

Step 3: Upload The Scanned Images

Photograph Specification 

  • Passport size Photograph with white background   in JPG or JPEG format (size: 10 kb to 200 kb)
  • Must be taken on or after 1 st July 2023.
  • Photographs must clearly indicate the date of taking the photograph.
  • No caps or goggles are allowed in the photograph
  • The photographs need not be attested.
  • Note: Same Passport size photographs are to be used for uploading with Online Application Form and for pasting on Attendance Sheet at the Examination Centre/Admission

Signature Specification 

  • The signature must be in the white background between 4 kb to 30 kb in JPG or JPEG format.
  • Full signature in running handwriting

Left-hand thumb impression

  •  Left-hand thumb impression on white paper with Blue Ink.
  • File size must be between 10 kb and 50 kb in JPG or JPEG format. 
  • Caste certificate,  domicile certificate or service certificate or birth certificate file size must be between 100 kb to 500 kb in JPG or JPEG format.

Step 4: Payment of the application fee

  • One can pay the application fee in an online mode through  Debit/Credit Card/Net-banking/UPI
  • Rs 400 /- for SC/ST and Rs 550/- for all others.

Sainik School Admission 2024 Eligibility Criteria

For admission to Class VI

  • Age must be between 10 and 12 years as of 31 March 2024 i.e. must be born between 01 April 20010 and 31 March 2012 (both days inclusive) for admission to the academic year 2024-23.  
  • Admission for Girls is open for Class VI. 
  • Candidates must secure a minimum of 25% marks in each subject of the exam and 40% marks in aggregate of all the subjects of AISSEE. The final selection is on the basis of merit. .

For admission to Class IX

  • Age must be between 13 and 15 years as of 31 March 2024 i.e. must be  born between 01 April 2007 and 31 March 2009 (both days inclusive)
  • Admission for Girls is not open for Class IX.
  • Must clear Class VIII exam from a recognized school at the time of admission.
  •  Candidates must secure a minimum of 25% marks in each subject of the exam and 40% marks in aggregate of all the subjects of AISSEE. The final selection is on the basis of merit. 

Note: For classes VI and IX no minimum marks are there for the reserved category students

Sainik School Admission 2024 Admit Card 

The AISSEE admit card will be released by NTA in an online mode.

  • The registered candidates can enter the details required and access the admit card.
  • Candidates need to download and take the print of the admit card for further use.
  • It is mandatory for the candidates to carry the admit card at the examination centre.
  • No one will be allowed to enter the examination hall without it.
  • A lot of information is available on the admit card such as the name of the candidate, exam time, date, venue, etc.
  • In case of a discrepancy in the admit card, candidates must inform the concerned authority immediately. 

Sainik School Admission 2024 Answer Key 

After the conclusion of the exam, the AISSEE answer key will be released at the official site in an online mode. Candidates can check their answers entered in the exam to the official answer key. The official answer key holds the correct responses to the questions asked in the exam. Hence before the declaration of the result, candidates get an estimated score in the exam.  If at any point, candidates doubt the official answer key then they can challenge the key by paying Rs 200 per answer. The fee is non-refundable. After solving the issue, the final answer key is released. 

Sainik School Admission 2024 Result & Merit List

The declaration of the result takes place in an online mode at the official site of AISSEE. The result is out of the respective schools. NTA prepares the result school-wise and category-wise merit list (separately for boys and girls and for Class VI and Class IX). The initial call list will be published before the medical exam. Thus after the medical exam, the final merit list is prepared. If the candidates scored the same marks then inter-se- merit is applied.

Sainik School Admission FAQs

  • The application form for the SSEE 2024 can be downloaded from the NTA website. The application fee is INR 600 for General Category candidates and INR 300 for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
