Is it Necessary to Qualify in JEE Mains to Appear for JEE Advanced?

Yes, it is necessary to qualify in JEE Mains to appear for JEE Advanced. The rank obtained in JEE Mains will be used for admission into various “Non-IIT” institutions. You can appear for both exams, but only the score of JEE Advanced will be considered for admission in IITs.

What is the Eligibility Criteria for JEE Advanced?

To appear for JEE Advanced, candidates must have cleared the JEE Mains exam and be in the top 2.5 lakh rankers. Additionally, they must be within the age limit of 25 years and have no more than two attempts between 2018 and 2020. Candidates must also satisfy other conditions such as those related to Year of Appearance in Class XII Board Examination/Qualifying Examination (QE).

Who can appear for JEE Advanced?
