The wards of Permanent Staff members can also apply for Santosh Pathsala 2nd Year and any class in Siksha-Satra up to Class VIII other than the classes advertised provided they did not apply before.

2. Admission to Pre-Primary: 1st Year, Mrinalini Ananda Pathshala, Patha Bhavana, Visva Bharati

Eligibility

• Open Category (OC): Candidates who do not belong to either Staff-Ward or Alumni Ward category.
• Alumni Ward (AW): Wards of the members of the Alumni Association
• Staff-Ward (SW): Wards of the permanent staff members of Visva-Bharati
• EWS: Candidates who belong to the economically weaker section of the society.

The wards of permanent staff members, who did not apply on earlier occasions, can also apply to a class appropriate to his or her age from Pre-Primary-2nd Year, Mrinalini Ananda Pathshala to Class-VIII, provided the candidates fulfill all other criteria.

5. Admission of Foreign Students to Patha-Bhavana, Visva Bharati

15% of the total number of seats of the class is reserved for foreign students on a supernumerary basis.

About Visva Bharati

Founded by the first non-European Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Thākur (popularly known as Tagore) in 1921, Visva-Bharati was declared to be a central university and an institution of national importance by an Act of Parliament in 1951. The President of India is the Paridarsaka (Visitor) of the University, the Governor of West Bengal is the Pradhana (Rector), and the Prime Minister of India acts as the Acharya (Chancellor).
