The new rules state that candidates who have qualified teachers' eligibility tests organized by the Centre and the state, and conform to the provisions laid down by the National Council for Teachers' Education (NCTE) and Rehabilitation Council of India (for teachers in special schools), would be eligible for appointment as teachers. However, those who have cleared the Teachers Competency Test prior to 2012 will be exempted from the TET criteria.
And that's it! The Bihar Cabinet has cleared new rules for teachers' recruitment, which are expected to bring in transparency and efficiency in the process. With subject-wise cadres, eligibility criteria, selection process, and monitoring and evaluation mechanisms in place, the new rules aim to address the issue of teacher shortage and ensure quality education in Bihar schools. Stay tuned for further updates on the implementation of these new rules!
