Practical exam dates

Similarly, the practical exams, project works and internal assessment for the 2024-25 academic session will be held from January 1, 2025 for all the CBSE-affiliated schools in India and abroad.

Marking scheme, attendance

CBSE has reminded schools that students must have 75% attendance to qualify for the 2025 board exams. The Board allows a 25% relaxation for genuine cases like medical emergencies or participation in national/international sports, with proper documentation required.

No toppers

CBSE has confirmed that, as announced last year, there will be no announcement of toppers, distinctions, or overall divisions for Class 10 and Class 12 exams in 2024. The board will not calculate, declare, or inform students of their overall percentage of marks.

Will exams be held twice a year?

No, CBSE exams will not be held twice this year as the Government is yet to finalise and announce the plans.
