CSAB 2021 or Central Seat Allocation Board conducts counselling to provide admissions in various participating institutes such as IITs, NITs, GFTIs on the basis of JEE Main scores. Through CSAB, candidates are selected for admission in the first year of B.E/B. Tech and B.Arch/B.Plan programmes. The CSAB conducts the process for three channels- CSAB NEUT(for North-Eastern states and Union Territories), CSAB UT (for supernumerary seats in the Union Territories) and CSAB SFTI (Self-financed technical institutes). CSAB 2021 Channels

The CSAB 2021 will offer admission to the participating candidates through the following channels:

  • CSAB NEUT: For North-Eastern States and Union Territories
  • CSAB SFTI: Self Financed Technical Institutes

CSAB 2021 Admission Process

The details regarding the CSAB 2021 Admission process are given below:

  • The admission process will start after completion of the complete admission process by the JOSAA.
  • The registration process of all the channels will open separately for all the three channels.
  • The registration process will in online mode only.
  • Candidates have to fill the registration form for participating in the salt allotment process.
  • Candidates also have to fill their choice according to their preference.

CSAB NEUT 2021 Application Form

The details regarding the CSAB NEUT 2021 are given below:

  • CSAB 2021 admission application form will be released tentatively in the last week of June 2021.
  • Candidates can fill the CSAB application form through online mode only.
  • CSAB NEUT is conducted to provide admission to candidates belonging to 12 Noth East states and UTs(Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Lakshadweep).
  • The admission will be completely on the basis of JEE Main 2021 scores.

CSAB NEUT 2021 Eligibility Criteria

The details regarding the CSAB NEUT Eligibility criteria are given below:

  • Domicile: Candidates should be from one of the Northeast states or union territories.
  • Minimum Marks:
    • Candidates should have a minimum of 45% marks or be in the top 20 percentile in their class 12 from any respective board.
    • SC/ST candidates should have a minimum of 40% marks in their class 12 from any respective board.
  • Qualifying Subjects: Candidates should have studied Physics, chemistry, mathematics and a language.
    • If the candidate has studied more than one language then language with higher marks will be considered.
    • Candidates should also have studied one more subject apart from the above-mentioned subjects.
  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates should have a valid JEE Main 2021 Scorecard.

CSAB NEUT 2021 Counselling Procedure

The details regarding the procedure of seat allotment of CSB NEUT 2021 are given below:

  • Registration:
    • Candidates who are eligible must have to register themselves.
    • Visit the official website i.e csab.nic.in
    • Then Candidates have to register themselves using the JEE Main 2021 application form number and password.
  • Filling the Details: 
    • After registration, candidates have to select their choice of colleges and courses for admission.
    • The candidate may note that the selection should be in the order of the preference.
    • All the choices are to be checked and locked before the last date.
    • Candidates will not be able to change any details after locking their choices.
  • Seat Allotment: 
    • Candidates will be able to check their seat allotment through online mode.
    • The authority will release the result of seat allotment on the official website.
    • Seat allotment process will be done on the basis of their merit, choices and availability of the seats.
    • Selected candidates will be able to download their allotment letter from the official website only.
  • Document Verification: 
    • At last, candidates have to visit the allotted institute for verification of their documents.
    • The seats will be confirmed after payment of the counselling fee.

CSAB UT 2021 Eligibility criteria

The details regarding the eligibility criteria of CSAB UT 2021 are given below:

  • Candidate should be from the state of one of the union territories.
  • Candidates should not have allotted any seats till the special vacant seat filling round.
  • The Candidates should not have reported to any JOSAA seat allotment process.
  • Candidates who had reported for their allotted seat at the centres but their seat was cancelled due to any change in the category and are still unallotted are also be eligible for the CSAB UT 2020.
  • The Candidates who have reported after the seat allotment to their reporting centre but withdrew before the final round of JoSAA are also eligible.
  • Candidates who paid the initial fee and reported for the seat allotment to the reporting centre but have not reported to their allotted institute till the last date are also eligible.

The candidates who come under the below-mentioned points will not be eligible for the CSAB UT 2021:

  • Candidates who were allotted seats during JOSAA 2021 seat allotment process and also reported to their respective centres before the last date.
  • Candidates who were allotted seats during the special vacant seat filling round will not be eligible for CSAB UT 2020 irrespective of whether they reported to their respective centre or not.

CSAB UT 2021 Counselling Procedure

The procedure of CSAB UT 2021 seat allotment is given below:

  • Registration:
    • Candidates after checking the eligibility criteria must register themselves.
    • Candidates have to register by visiting the official website.
    • Enter the details as per asked for the registration.
  • Filling the choices:
    • Candidates have to fill their choices of college and courses.
    • Candidates have to fill the details as per their priority.
    • After filling, candidates have to check and lock their choices.
  • Seat Allotment:
    • After the complete procedure, candidates will be allotted seats.
    • Seats will be allotted on the basis of their JEE Main scores.
    • The seats will be allotted after deducting the seats filled during the home state quota from the total supernumerary seats for the CSAB UT 2021.
  • Document Verification:
    • After allotment of seats, candidates have to visit the allotted centre for document verification.
    • Candidates also have to pay the fees and complete the formalities.

Note: Candidates must note that the rules regarding the Category, PWD, Age, State of Eligibility, Qualifications, Original documents, restrictions etc. are the same as rules mentioned by JoSAA.

CSAB SFTI 2021

The details regarding the CSAB SFTI 2021 are mentioned below:

  • Candidates can fill the application form through online mode.
  • It will provide admissions to the eligible candidates in the participating institutes.
  • During the process, JEE Main 2021 scores will also be considered for admission.
  • Last year the CSAB SFTI admission process was not conducted due to lack of participants.

CSAB SFTI 2021 Eligibility Criteria

The details regarding the CSAB SFTI 2021 Eligibility criteria are given below:

  • Minimum Marks: candidates must have passed class 12 or equivalent with minimum 45% aggregate marks.
    • SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PWD category candidates should have minimum 40% aggregate marks.
  •  Subjects: Candidates should have passed their class 12 with the following subjects:
    • Physics,
    • Mathematics,
    • Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Biology / Technical Vocational Subject, any one language
    • Also, any one other subject.
  • Candidates must have a valid JEE Main Paper-I rank.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Arch/B.Plan Admissions

  • Candidates must have qualified the JEE Main 2021 Paper-II or Paper-III exams per the course chosen.
  • Candidates should have at least 50% aggregate marks in their class 12 from any recognised board.
  • Applicant must have studied mathematics with passing marks in all the subjects.

CSAB SFTI 2021 Counselling Procedure

The complete procedure of CSAB 2021 SFTI seat allotment process is given below:

  • Fee Payment:
    • firstly, candidates have to login through their JEE Main 2021 login Id and password.
    • After login, candidates have to pay the counselling fee of Rs. 21,000.
    • Candidates can pay the fee through online mode.
  • Registration: 
    • After completion of payment, Candidates have to register themselves by entering the required details.
  • Filling the Choices:
    • After registration, candidates have to fill their choices of colleges and courses.
    • Candidates have to fill the choices according to the order of their preferences.
    • Candidates will be able to edit, modify and even change the choices before locking and submitting the details.
  • Seat Allotment: 
    • The seats will be allotted by the authority.
    • Candidates will be able to check their seat allotment through online mode.
    • The allotment of seats will be done on the basis of their JEE Mains merit, preferences and availability of seats.
    • The eligible candidates have to download the seat allotment letter and take a printout out for future use.
  • Reporting at Allotted Institute:
    • At last, candidates have to report to their allotted institute for confirming their admission.
    • Candidates have to pay the balance fee for confirming their admission.
    • The authority will also verify the documents of the candidate.

CSAB 2021 Special Round for NITs, IIITs and GFTIs

The details regarding the CSAB 2021 special round for NITs, IIITs and GFTIs are given below:

  • Candidates can register themselves through online mode.
  • The application form will release on the official website of the authority.
  • The candidates who have passed JEE Main 2021 and have a valid JEE Main score can apply for the second round.

CSAB 2021 Special Round Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have a valid JEE Main 2021 rank.
  • The Candidates should fulfil the JOSAA 2021 Eligibility criteria.
  • Candidates who participated in JOSAA 2021 but failed to get the seat are eligible for CSAB special round.
  • Candidates who were allotted through JOSAA 2021 but failed to confirm their admission or withdrew from their seats are eligible for the special round.

Note: Candidates who opted not to participate in special round after JOSAA 2020 are not eligible for the CSAB 2020 special round.

Centralized Seat Allocation Procedure(CSAB) Special Round 2021 Procedure

  • Registration: 
    • Candidates have to click on the official website and click on the registration link.
    • Using JEE Main application number and password, candidates will be able to register themselves.
    • Candidates have to upload the necessary documents as prescribed by the authority.
  • Fee Payment:
    • After registration, candidates have to pay the counselling fee.
    • Candidates can pay the fee through online mode.
  • Filling the choices:
    • Candidates have to select their choices of colleges and courses.
    • Candidates have to select their choices according to the order of their preference.

CSAB 2021 Seat Allotment

  • The authority will release the seat allotment result for IIITs, NITs and GFTIs on the official website.
  •  CSAB allots the seats on the basis of the JEE Main scores.
  • Candidates can check the seat allotment result using their JEE Main 2021 login id and password.
  • However, candidates who qualify a seat through the CSAB seat allotment result can choose the following options:
    • Freeze
    • Slide
    • Float
    • Surrender & Participate in next round
    • Surrender & Not Participate in next round

CSAB 2021 Acceptance Fee

The details regarding the CSAB 2021 Acceptance fee is given below:

  • After the allotment of seat, the candidate needs to pay the acceptance fees to confirm their seat.
  • Candidates can pay the acceptance fee using SBI MOPS.
  • The acceptance fee for general category is RS. 35000/-.
  • And, the acceptance fee for SC/ST/PWD Category is Rs. 15000/-.
  • After verification of documents, the candidate pays the acceptance fee.
