JEE Main 2017 Girls Topper Vrunda Rathi, the All India Rank (AIR) 1 in Girls’ category from Nashik, Maharashtra,  is a legend and proved her milestone by leaving no stone unturned while preparing for JEE Main 2017. And also a classical Flute player raised a massive score of 312/360. She wants to go for a research program at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore over the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). She finds her career in pursuing her Bachelor degree in Science (BSc) from IISc, Bangalore. In order to fulfil her aspirations of being a Researcher, she chose IISc.

But still, she is midway in her path as she has to prepare JEE Advance 2017. Though the celebrations have already begun. Rathi’s mother received a call from CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) Chairman RK Chaturvedi, felicitating her on her daughter’s outstanding performance in JEE Main.

I started preparing for JEE Main from class 11, I think if one is diligent and industrious as well assiduous towards cracking JEE, two years are suffice. I did my preparation from IITians Pace, Nashik branch for two years. Whenever my routine would become stressful, I played the flute to relax, Science.And apart from that, I did put my 5-6 hours of wholesome effort in self-studies every day. In the time of stressful moment, I used to play the guitar to soothe my mind and body as well. My desire dwells in being a young researcher from IISc, which I construe as a platform to fulfill my desire. Though I believe IITs do better for engineers.

Rathi scored 321 out of 360 marks in JEE Main 2017, with 105 in Physics, 106 in Chemistry and 110 in Mathematics. Her overall AIR is 71.
