JEE Main 2022 Eligibility Criteria

General Criteria
- Nationality: Indian candidates, as well as foreign candidates, can apply for the exam.
- Foreign Candidates: Candidates from foreign countries should have the necessary marks /percentage from a board recognized by AIU to be eligible for the JEE Main 2022 exam.
- Age Limit: There is no such age limit specified by the authority.
- Number of Attempts: There is no attempt limit specified.
Qualification Criteria
- Qualifying Exam: Candidate must have passed their class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board or university in 2019 or 2020.
- Qualifying Subjects:
- B.E/B.Tech: Candidates must have passed with physics as compulsory subjects along with Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, chemistry or any other subject as optional subjects.
- Chemistry is not a compulsory subject anymore for B.E/B.Tech courses as per the recent notification by NTA.
- B.Arch: Candidates must have passed class 12 with physics, chemistry and mathematics as compulsory subjects.
- B.Plan: Candidates should have passed class 12 with mathematics as compulsory subjects.
- B.E/B.Tech: Candidates must have passed with physics as compulsory subjects along with Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, chemistry or any other subject as optional subjects.
- Diploma: Candidates who are having any diploma are also eligible to apply for the exam.
- Appearing: Candidates who are appearing in class 12 in 2021 session are also eligible to apply for the exam.
- Candidates who have passed their class 12 in 2018 or before are not eligible to apply for JEE Main exam.
JEE Main 2022 Exam Pattern

- Exam Mode: JEE Main 2022 exam will be held in online mode(CBT mode).
- Duration: The exam will be of 03 hours duration.
- In the case of a PWD candidate with 40% disability, extra 01 hours will be given to complete the exam.
- Language: Candidates will attempt the JEE Main exam in Hindi and English language.
- For candidates appearing for the JEE Mains exam in Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli exam centres, the exam paper will be in English, Hindi & Gujarati language.
