3 Simple Tips for Using IIT study To Get Ahead Your Competition: Every IIT aspirant has a dream of scoring a high rank in IITJEE but it’s not always easy to achieve what we dreamt of. This requires a lot of hard work and determination. Above all judicious planning and smart strategies is the key to the main door. Every one of you might study well but how smartly you study matters. There are no short-cuts to achieving success. Here we are providing candidates with few simple tips for using IIT study to get ahead of the competition.

  1. Analyze Exam Patterns: No matter how well learned or prepared you are for your exam but if you failed to do research on the pattern of exam, all your effort will go in vain. Check with appropriate authority the patterns of an exam. Crosscheck if there is any pattern change notification for that year or not? Be aware of the sections that are coming in the exams and their time limit, how many and which type of questions will come? Also, keep yourself well informed about the marking scheme and their section wise weightage.  Be ensured that what you had prepared is in accordance with the correct pattern as it will make you more confident and clear in writing the paper. It will save both your time and energy but on the day of exam never forgot to read instructions mentioned on the paper before you start.
  2. Pick correct resources: Other than NCERT books and other referred textbook try to pick up other means of study too. For example, try mock tests that are available online since these tests mirror the actual JEE in terms of structure, format, and content but one disadvantage is that it can’t give you the real time exam feel since paper-based versions of the JEE will require you to record your answers by hand which is not possible on computers. Another important resource for JEE aspirants are the question papers from the previous years. Since the new JEE exam replaced the old IIT-JEE in 2013, only question papers from 2014 are available, even though they are sufficient for practice purpose. One of the other good resources is your hand-written notes. For easy learning and revision, make short notes and tricks for each subject or chapter. Making notes in your language is very useful and hard to forget.
  3. Thorough, regular revision: Repetition is the key to any learning. When you are able to revise what you had learned on daily basis, the learning will become easier. If you break it apart from the word revision, what does it really mean? Of course, re- means again, and -vision means sight, so when we revise anything — notes, papers, chapters, formulas — we are “re-seeing” it, or viewing it again, presumably with a different perspective or with new things in mind.  The more you revise, the more your concepts will become crystal clear away from any confusion. It has also been observed in many types of research too that crucially, revision is not something to do at the end of the learning process – the last minute rush to prepare for an exam. Instead, revision – or even better, ‘relearning’ – is integral to how students learn and remember best.

The facts are being produced by the ministry of human resource development every year with less than 30 percent admissions in last three years.

Facts and figures about Private Engineering colleges with less than 30% Admissions

According to the Ministry of Human Resource Development fact and figures, out of the 266 colleges in Telangana, 112 registered a low enrollment of 2,874 students. In a 2016-2017 academic year, as against a permission of 41,628. Similarly, of the 325 colleges in AP, 109 registered an enrolment figure of 5, 685, while the legal permission strength was 47,640.

All India technical council has been deciding not to grant permission to institutions with poor enrolment, these figures are becoming worsened every year for all states.
Experts quality with poor enrolment to increase of deemed universities, students seeking admission in best colleges which offers course with best infrastructure, faculty, Right education currently not In balance, which requires all the qualities to make balance between number of colleges, As a result private engineering colleges must be conducted entrance exam sets by AICTE and only those candidates will be allowed who qualify entrance exam. Therefore, many students are flocking the deemed universities,” said Srini Bupalam, vice-president of All India Federation of Self Financing Technical institutions.

College managements also claims it’s the universities failure in extending support that’s come out as the crisis which needs serious emphasis or attention by Management. And because of this many students are seeking admissions in somewhere else and not taking admission in private colleges. Also, the university failed in building an industry-academia ecosystem,” said Mohammed Arif Rizwaan, correspondent of a private engineering college in Chevella.

According to the notification issued says that the students/candidates enrolled during the academic sessions 2001-2005 in the four Deemed to be Universities given below to appear in the test(s) to be conducted jointly by AICTE and UGC. “In pursuance of the orders of the Supreme Court arising out of Special Leave Petition (C) Nos. 19807-19808/2012 the Hon’ble Supreme Court inter alias has directed (under para 46 of page no.106 and para 47page no.107) that the degrees in engineering awarded to students who were enrolled during the academic years 2001-2005 with the following deemed-to-be universities shall stand suspended till they pass the examination under the joint supervision of AICTE – UGC.”

AICTE recently lodged a complaint against the fake circular that was circulated on AICTE letterhead regarding scrapping of 75% attendance in colleges and introduction vocational projects. The fake notification becomes viral on social media and networks. AICTE clarifies the same and published a  circular F.No. AICTE/P&AP/Misc/2018, where it is clearly mentioned that the last notification was fake and AICTE is lodging complaint against such misleading and mischievous act.

LPUNEST 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality:

Candidates who are applying for LPUNEST 2018 must be a citizen of India and is only eligible if he/she is from India.

Qualifying Examination:

  • Applicants should have completed the 10th/ Matriculation along with ITI Course from a recognized board/Institution with passing marks.
  • The LPUNEST 2018 Eligibility Criteria is also that Applicants who are appearing for LPUNEST-2018 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2018, in final examination of 10+2 from CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi) or ICSE (The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi) or State Board or any other Council, Institution, college etc. declared which is recognised by  COBSE (Council of Boards of School Education, New Delhi) or any other concerned apex body as applicable.

LPUNEST 2018 Eligibility Criteria in the Qualifying Examination:

Candidates who are applying must pass with at least 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent with (Physics, Mathematics and English)* with subject to qualifying LPUNEST 2018 Examination.

Admission Process

The application process is same for all the courses. It is very easy because it is online.

The application process is very simple. Following are the steps for completing the entire application process:

Go to the official website of the University and register. The candidates will get a unique code after registration is done.

Using the code, the candidates must log in and fill the application form available on the portal. They have to upload their recent ID size photograph and signature on the form.

After filling the form, candidates must proceed further for the payment process. Payment can be done through any of the following modes:

  • Net Banking
  • Debit Card/ Credit Card
  • Demand Draft.
  • Cash payment through an E-challan at Mehsana Co-operative Bank.

They will be required to pay the application fee which will be different for different courses.

If the candidate opts for the online payment he must keep the copy of the payment acknowledgment for future use.

The application process will be completed only when the documents are physically verified at the university.

The eligibility criterion differs from course to course but the following are some of the basic required criteria:

  • Minimum of 45 percent or 50 percent in the 10th and 12th Board examinations. (applicable for the under graduation and diploma course)

  • Ph.D. and master’s degree in Management or Administration in an applicable discipline

  • 10 years of experience in teaching, research professional or industry including 5 years as an Associate professor or reader OR first class graduate and professionally qualified CA/CS of the statutory body.

  • Professional work experience recognizable at the national/international level equivalent to Ph.D.

  • 12 years of professional experience inclusive of 8 years at a level comparable to the Assistant professor.

  1. Associate Professor-

  • Qualification requirement similar to Professor except minimum experience required at managerial level excluding period spent on research degree is 8 years. OR first class graduate and professionally qualified CA/CS of the statutory body.

  • Professional experience of 10 years including 5 years as Assistant professor or equivalent. This must exclude the period spent on obtaining the research degree.

  1. Assistant Professor-

  • First class master’s degree OR first class graduate and professionally qualified CA/CS of the statutory body.

JEE Main 2017 Girls Topper Vrunda Rathi, the All India Rank (AIR) 1 in Girls’ category from Nashik, Maharashtra,  is a legend and proved her milestone by leaving no stone unturned while preparing for JEE Main 2017. And also a classical Flute player raised a massive score of 312/360. She wants to go for a research program at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore over the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). She finds her career in pursuing her Bachelor degree in Science (BSc) from IISc, Bangalore. In order to fulfil her aspirations of being a Researcher, she chose IISc.

But still, she is midway in her path as she has to prepare JEE Advance 2017. Though the celebrations have already begun. Rathi’s mother received a call from CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) Chairman RK Chaturvedi, felicitating her on her daughter’s outstanding performance in JEE Main.

A student of Loknete Vyankatrao Hiray Arts‚ Science and Commerce College, Vrunda Rathi AIR 1 (Girls’ category) shared her JEE Main 2017 journey with Entrancezone. In her own words…

I started preparing for JEE Main from class 11, I think if one is diligent and industrious as well assiduous towards cracking JEE, two years are suffice. I did my preparation from IITians Pace, Nashik branch for two years. Whenever my routine would become stressful, I played the flute to relax, Science.And apart from that, I did put my 5-6 hours of wholesome effort in self-studies every day. In the time of stressful moment, I used to play the guitar to soothe my mind and body as well. My desire dwells in being a young researcher from IISc, which I construe as a platform to fulfill my desire. Though I believe IITs do better for engineers.

Rathi scored 321 out of 360 marks in JEE Main 2017, with 105 in Physics, 106 in Chemistry and 110 in Mathematics. Her overall AIR is 71.

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay will mentor the recruitment process for IIT Goa & Dharwad Faculty Openings. There is an opening for the post of Assistant Professor in various disciplines for the Goa and   Dharwad campus of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).

IIT Goa & Dharwad Faculty Openings

  • Qualification For Assistant Professor-

  • A minimum of three-year experience related to teaching, research or anything professional.

  • This experience must not include the experience gathered while doing Ph.D.

  • Candidates should have their names published in well-recognized conferences and journals.

  • Candidates who are eligible but do not have the required experience will be appointed as Assistant Professor on the contractual basis.

  • For the post of Assistant Professor (contractual basis), at the entry level, the candidates will be placed in pay band 3 varying from Rs. 15600 to 39100 with AGP of Rs. 6000.

  • After 1 year, the AGP will increase up to Rs.7000 and after 3 years to Rs. 8000 with a basic pay of minimum Rs. 30,000/-

  • After the candidate completes the service for 3 years, the pay band shall move to pay band- 4 from Rs. 37,400 to Rs. 67,000 with an AGP of Rs. 9000/-

    Pay Band For Assistant Professor-

  • Pay band-3 has been fixed for the post of Assistant Professor.

  • PB-3 varies from Rs. 15,600 to Rs. 39,100 with an academic grade pay of Rs. 8000 per month.

  • For those recruited directly, the minimum pay is fixed at Rs. 30,000 per month.
