So, you have to study syllabus of both the classes at the same time. Though it seems difficult, it is not so.

Tips to Prepare CBSE Class XII and JEE Main Exams Simultaneously

  1. Checking the Syllabus is the First Step: You must have the syllabus of both the exams handy. Before getting the syllabus, you can’t know what to study for exams. At first, try to start with the topics included in the syllabus of JEE but not in Boards. You should do this because you study the common topics after studying the different topics. By doing this you prepare the same topics for Board Exam and JEE.
  2. Follow a Specific Daily Routine: Preparing a daily routine and following it is also important. Don’t waste any of your time.
  3. Daily Targets: Set your daily targets of topics to cover on a particular day and try to achieve the goal at any cost. Sometimes due to some circumstances, you are unable to reach the goal on a particular day. In that case, try to complete the pending part of next day along with that day’s target.
  4. Revision: After the completion of all the topics, revision the syllabus is the must. You should revise the complete syllabus of Class XI and Class XII once you have completed studying the syllabus.
  5. Dedication: Dedication for the exams is most important. You should dedicate yourself to your exams otherwise you won’t be able to reach your goal.

More Tips – How to Prepare for CBSE Class XII and JEE Main

  1. Own Analysis: You should analyse yourself and your performance by giving as many mock tests as you can. Also, solving the previous years’ papers is also important.
  2. Practice: Practising as many questions as you can, will prove helpful while appearing in the examination. You should practice a lot of objective and subjective questions for both the examinations.
  3. Short Notes: Make short notes of the important things to remember at the time of the study. You should read these short notes at the last moment.
  4. Bursting the Stress: Stress Bursting is also important along with study otherwise you won’t be able to concentrate on your studies.
  5. Health: Before starting to study, ensure that you take care of your health. Always remember the famous saying “Health is Wealth”.

So, get ready for your examinations and start studying from the same day.

JEE Main Concept Wise Preparation
JEE Main Concept Wise Preparation

As Students are now gearing up for JEE Main- The Biggest National Engineering Entrance Examination, which is scheduled in April 2018, studying anything and everything will not do any good to you. Candidates should also have to devise a plan that is appropriate as every month passes. It is also crucial that you know how preparation strategy has to be different this time because, from the Year 2017, Class XII marks weightage for the JEE Main All India Ranks has been discarded this time. You also need to know the Topics and the Important Books which will help a lot and can increase the probability of cracking the exam. An Expert of one of the Best Coaching Institute of India – FIITJEE talks to Entrancezone.com on different factors that are very imperative for cracking JEE Main Concept Wise Preparation.

JEE Main Concept Wise Preparation can Bring the Fundamental Clarity – Says, Expert.

Q1. As the 40% weightage given to the normalised score of class 12th marks have been discarded from  2017, do you suggest some change in strategy for JEE Main preparation after looking 2017 Results?

Ans. Certainly, there is a change in orientation is required in the current scenario. Few strategies that can be expected this year onwards are:

  • Students can now focus on their Class XI syllabus in January/February itself as earlier. Their entire focus was on Class XII board syllabus during those months. Also, It will give an upper hand to brilliant students.
  • There are Many State Boards where Scoring good marks in boards is relatively easy as compared to other Boards. This created difference in the students as the Hardworking and the Best Students would miss out on getting good Rank in JEE Mains. With the change in the System, now these students will do well as their performance in JEE Main Concept Wise Preparation will only be considered.
  • Earlier Practice of Diagrams and Presentation of Answers was essential as there was a scope of losing marks in these areas which could have impacted their overall percentage. Still, the pursuit for good marks in Board Exams must be tried and should not give up.

Q2. What books would you suggest to JEE candidates for preparation in this last year of preparation? Would only NCERT books or CBSE books do?

Ans. NCERT books should be treated as  “The Ramayana”. Students must cover NCERT books thoroughly. These books give complete conceptual understanding. Also, the questions in the books are sometimes asked from the “Highlighted Important” sections. So, one must not overlook these sections.

Also, a student is ultimately targeting JEE Advanced, they tend to ignore few topics which are not part of the JEE Advanced syllabus but questions are asked in JEE Main and also part of Class 12 Boards, for example, “Principal Of Mathematical Induction”. Such topics should be covered from JEE Main Concept Wise Preparation point of view.

Q3. How would the Discarding of weightage given to Class 12th normalised score impact JEE Main All India Ranks?

Ans. Intelligent students will stand to gain as they are aware of their priorities and also those who have better IQ and are fundamentally very strong. In other words, students who have been seriously preparing for JEE Main Concept Wise Preparation and JEE Advanced, their chances of doing well will be higher. They will be benefited as they now have to focus on areas of their strength.

Q4. What are the factors that determine success in JEE Mains?

Ans. JEE candidates must keep the following elements in mind:

  • Develop a proper strategy for time management between the different sections i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • Avoid questions that you feel are quite challenging for you and Do not waste time in them. If required, you can flag them so that when at the end you complete up your remaining questions in time, then you can revisit those questions.
  • Students must also darken the appropriate answer bubble on the OMR sheet just after solving a question. Since Lot of times candidates first solve the paper and then darken the bubble later. This is an incorrect practice since there are chances of marking the wrong bubbles.
  • Students must also refer to their lab manuals or practical notebook because Sometimes, in JEE Mains, questions are asked which are related to practicals. So students who have done practicals in schools will be able to comfortably answer such questions.
  • Concept-wise revision – Sometimes questions are asked wherein multiple concepts are interlinked. So Revision for JEE Main Concept Wise Preparation should not be chapter-wise, rather it should be concept-wise. If students revise concept-wise, then chances of missing out on any topic are minimal. hence automatically their quality of attempts will improve.
  • During practice and while solving test papers, one should also keep a tab on the accuracy. To score well one has to be quick and accurate. High speed with high accuracy would prove to be beneficial for scoring good in Joint Entrance Examination.
  • Questions should be solved by applying reasoning and analytical ability and also candidate must subscribe good Mock Test Series. This will help to build confidence to solve specific types of problems. Refer to archive i.e. previous years’ JEE Main question paper bank.

Q5. What approach should students use while preparing different type of questions in different sections of JEE Advanced?

Ans. Questions in JEE Advanced are more analytical with higher difficulty level. Every year the pattern of paper and marking scheme remains a surprise element. Unlike JEE Main, JEE Advanced is lot more “concept of Application” based paper with the objective to judge a student’s thinking ability. It plays a big role which ultimately impacts a student’s performance. Hence the preparatory approach has to b a lot more directed towards conceptual aspect with a blend of logical and analytical thinking.

Q6. JEE Main 2018 is a year away. What preparation plan and strategy do you suggest to the students to balance their Class XII board preparation along with JEE preparations?

Ans. As a way forward, students should complete their Class XII syllabus by end of November 2017. After syllabus completion, students have to improve their skills, monitor strengths and weaknesses, increase their capabilities, plug loopholes, assess their national level standing and engage in maximising their output.

Key Points for JEE Main Concept Wise Preparation and Class XII Board Studies

  • From November to February, one must simultaneously solve Class XII board exam test paper and also refer to previous year papers.
  • Allocate some time in the daily schedule to practice Model Question Papers for Board.
  • Students studying in IITJEE coaching must also attend the review classes. So that they can go through the systematic pattern for revision.
  • Make a note of all doubts that might arise over the next couple of months and try to solve them on your own. But if you are not able to, then consult your subject teacher.
  • Have Group Studies and seek help from Group. Best Way to Revise is to Explain a Topic which He/She doesn’t understand and you know about that particular topic.
  • Focus on NCERT books. Important points under each concept need to be remembered.

Q7. In brief, any expert suggestion for JEE aspirants which is vital for cracking JEE Main 2018 and JEE Advanced?

Ans. Students should stick to fundamental approach. Every question will have some unique keyword. Students should underline these keywords while reading the question. Once a student is able to interpret those keywords, he/she would be able to have absolute concept clarity on how to solve them. Thus, it becomes easy to solve instantly.

What changes in strategy should a student need to bring in JEE last minute preparation that is the last three months?

Expert:
The last three months must be utilised wisely for strengthening the understanding of concept involved, improving the time needed to solve a given problem, identifying weaknesses and correcting them.

  • Solve JEE level problems fast with time management in mind.
  • Sample papers give a fair idea about the pattern of question paper and help one improve time management.
  • Remain focused and maintain a positive attitude while studying.
  • Remember, it is the quality of time spent and not the quantity alone. Hence, take short breaks of five to ten minutes after every one or two hours of serious study. Relax completely when you take a break.
  • Practice meditation to develop inner calm, poise, confidence and power of concentration. These matter a lot and will help you on the day of examination.
  • Don’t over stress yourself.
  • JEE (Main) is not difficult, but tricky. However, its questions do have a need of being tackled with different tactics and perspectives.
  • Focus on solving the problems on your own while preparing for the exam. Start with conventional methods of problems solving but improvise constantly, and build your own shortcuts and ways for problem-solving.
  • Both speed and strike rate matter. High speed with less accuracy can ruin your results.
  • Don’t use Calculators.

Time is a criterion in answering the JEE Main exam. Any suggestions on how a candidate should go about answering since negative marking exists?

Expert:

One must be quick enough to adapt to the level of paper and act promptly. One essential technique in JEE Main Last Minute Preparation is not to give full time in one go to a specific subject. Rather, dispense some time with the goal that one could survey this subject once more. For example, for a three hour paper with three subjects, by and large, understudies tend to give one hour each. It is prudent that they dispense 40-45 minutes in any one subject that they feel certain, and proceed onward to the second subject and afterwards to the third. In the rest of the time, the unsolved addressed might be surveyed. This will help in increasing the attempting rate.

What would you advise for JEE Main Last Minute Preparations to students to ensure they feel confident and give their best shot during the exam?

Expert:
  • Say to yourself “I am excited about JEE Main and I will crack this”.
  • Think positively and Don’t talk anything about JEE Main with others.
  • One day before the exam, do not study anything new.
  • Brush up important formulas in all three subjects.
  • Relax or indulge in meditation a day before the actual exam in order to give your best shot.
  • Don’t ask your friends how much they have studied. It will create unnecessary pressure.
  • Have a sound sleep for at least 6-7 hours.
  • Ensure to carry your JEE Main 2018 Hall Ticket, one ID proof and a pencil box containing eraser/sharpener/blue & black ball pens, etc. Avoid borrowing anything inside the examination hall.

Any other message you would like to share with the JEE Main 2018 aspirants?

Expert:
Speed and accuracy are the keys for JEE Main Last Minute Preparation and to your success in JEE Main 2018.
Time Management:
  • Proper planning is important for timely preparation and dealing with the study pressure.
  • Divide these crucial remaining months aptly in the three subjects.
  • Prepare a chapter-wise and topic-wise revision schedule.
  • Create short notes and list all formula & points to remember. This will help in quick revision before the examination.

Correct Methodology:

The right approach for JEE main last minute preparation for those showing up first or second time is to stick to one source and not allude to many different numbers of books/study material accessible in the market. Students should remain focused all the time and try not to lose their concentration. Focus on your Goal: The way to right readiness is appropriate and opportune arranging. Toppers gain from their weak regions and practice seriously to enhance by every single mean. Attitude and concentration are the way to be a topper. Toppers separate their planning time in like manner. They adhere to a single technique of preparation and have confidence in themselves. Hence, they bit by bit develop their certainty level and are equipped to crack any troublesome question. They guarantee to solve every single earlier year’s papers keeping their ideas perfectly clear.

One Single Entrance Exam
One Single Entrance Exam

One Single Entrance Exam – The government is pondering over to make education system work more explicitly clear and transparent as well. And working is out on it, the government is planning to compile all the engineering and architecture entrance exam. And will conduct only one gateway to enter into various fields such as B.Tech and B.Arch. One single window exam for engineering and architecture from 2018 will definitely bear fruitful consequences.

One Single Entrance Exam for Engineering and Architecture:

Problem 1) There are a plethora of colleges that are self-financed or are the private institution and they charge an exorbitant fee from the students. And keep hiking the fee every passing year.

Solution: In order to tackle such kind of corruption and the notoriously venal act of several institutions across our country, and now the government-run body AICTE (All India Council For Technical Education) will look after this via one entrance exam.

Problem 2) These type of yearly national exams posses umpteen of thrust and pressurise the minds of millions every year.

Solution: The AICTE, upper echelon body of the GOI ( government of India) keep on eradicating obsolete ongoing systems from our education sectors. And once again going to prove milestone by curtailing the stress, the student bear every year. And the government decided to transform this one time in a year exam to fall multiple times from 2018 onwards.

Problem 3) the ample number of students fail to qualify JEE Main and plans to skip one whole year working on it.

Solution: Multiple numbers of exams will going to tackle this problem. As after failing in the first attempt the student can go on to book the next schedule to take the test.

A Much Awaiting Crucial Work By The AICTE

There are 8 Lakhs (approx) graduate in our country every year but only half of the graduate population receives employment. This is the worst scenario of our literate country. And this is all because of the poor education system. Which beliefs to run business merely by charging a lump sum amount to the student, instead of providing quality education.

Multiple Exams stuff is a globally accepted window to create transparently and stress-free exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, GMAT and GRE etc.
