Due to nationwide general strike, the basic services throughout the country including railways and road transport will be affected. Students who have their exam centres away from their cities may face difficulties to reach their exam venues.

National Testing Agency (NTA) to organize JEE Main 2020 on 06-11 January (First attempt) 2020 on multiple timings. As per TOI NTA director, Vineet Joshi exclaimed that “as of now we have no plan to reschedule the exam. However, we will be holding a meeting to discuss the matter.” On the other hand, INTUC State President R. Chandrasekharan said that “This is a national strike that was announced quite early and no one had approached us with representations.” He also added that it would not be possible to postpone the dates for a strike. However, they are suggesting to change the dates of JEE Main January 2020. The General Strike announced on September has the support of almost 10 central trade unions including CITU, INTUC, AITUC, HMS, AIUTUC, TUCC, SEWA, AICCTU, LPF, UTUC, AIRF and NFIR.

JEE Main / JEE Advanced – Last Minute Preparation Tips

Revision for Exam in Less than a month. Check JEE Main & Advanced Updated News Here.

  • At this time, the candidates need to start revision from their handwritten notes and go through all important topics.
  • If the candidates have not made notes in Class XI and Class XII, then revision from any book with “Important Points of the Chapter” given would be a better idea.
  • The aspirants must take JEE Main 2020 Mock Tests to test their preparation and build up accuracy and speed.
  • If there is any doubt about any topic, please consult a teacher or professor.

Important Topics to Study

If we have a look at all JEE Main (previously AIEEE) papers, it is clear that almost one question is there from every topic. Thus, the aspirants should not leave any particular topic or group of topics.

For JEE Advanced, there is no trend. It may possible that in a particular year, there could be more than one question from the same topic, and next year there would be none.

Handling Mathematics which is Supposed to be Toughest in JEE Main / JEE Advanced

Most of the candidates find Mathematics as the toughest subject in JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Along with a lot of practice, the candidates need to understand the tips and tricks to Solve Objective Type Questions in Mathematics section quickly and accurately. Mathematics is the only subject where jumping to answers simply by using memory is quite difficult, but using logic and practice problem solving, it is quite easy to sail through the questions.

JEE Main / JEE Advanced – Last Minute Preparation Tips

If the candidates find the Mathematics section difficult, then they should not give up. It is necessary to score high in Mathematics to get a better AIR in JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Following are the tips that the aspirants can follow on the day of examination.

  • The candidates should not hurry in the Mathematics section. Simple errors like basic calculation mistake can lead to a wrong answer.
  • If the time permits, revise the answers for the Mathematics section.
  • If a candidate is not strong in Mathematics, then he/she must go slow and steady while answering the question on this subject. It is okay even if going slow leads to leaving out a few questions. The examination has negative marking, so better leave a question than mark it wrong.
