KEAM is also known as Kerala Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical is conducted in the state of Kerala every year. This Examination is organized by CEE (Commissionerate of Entrance Exam), Kerala. A candidate seeking admission in Engineering, Agriculture and Medical can apply. Aspirants can see the details about KEAM 2020 Eligibility Criteria below. This exam allows candidates from Kerala as well as non-Keralites to choose from different streams. But it also has different criteria for different streams and different people(Keralites and non-Keralites). Therefore, they should be fulfilled by the candidates for their respective entries.

KEAM 2020 Eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • And candidates who belong to the categories like, PIO (Person of Indian Origin) / OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) can apply.
  • Also, the candidates who qualify the above for conditions can apply but they will be categorized into different categories. And they are Keralite, Non – Keralite category I and Non – Keralite Category II.
  • Keralites: Candidates residing in Kerala fall under this category. This categorization will be considered only for admission.
  • Non- Keralite Category I: A the candidate who is residing in Kerala for minimum 5 years or A Non – Keralite who has been reading in Kerala from class VIII to XII. Candidates who have qualified 10 + 2 from Kerala and their parents serving Government of Kerala for a minimum of two years.
  • And Non – Keralite Category II: Candidate not belonging to either of above-mentioned category falls under this category.
  • Also, Minimum age to qualify for KEAM 2020 is 17 years as on 31st December 2019. There is no upper age limit for b.tech, b.arch and b.pharm.

Academic Eligibility for Kerala Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Exam:

  • MBBS, BDS, and BSMS: the candidate should have cleared 10+2 or equivalent exam with 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and minimum 50% marks Biology/Biotechnology.
  • BAMS, BHMS: the candidate should have cleared 10+2 or equivalent exam with 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and minimum 50% marks Biology. Biotechnology will not be considered in place of Biology.
  • Tech: the candidate should have cleared 10+2 or equivalent exam with 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and minimum 50% marks in Mathematics.
  • Bachelor of Architecture: Candidate must secure a minimum of 50% in Mathematics in 10+2 or equivalent exam. Students having 40% marks in NATA can also apply for this course.

  • KEAM results published by the institute will consist of students score and ranks of the candidates applying for the examination.
  • KEAM 2020 Merit List will be prepared according to the score that a candidate receives along with his performance in the qualifying exam (10+2 or equivalent).
  • Weightage for the entrance exam and qualifying exam will be 50:50 for selection of a candidate.
  • Candidates should, therefore, be careful while submitting the Mark sheets along with the Application form.
  • Key Number can be downloaded by the candidate by signing into their profile by entering the Enrollment number and password.
  • The key number will be required to submit mark data for qualifying examination.

KEAM 2020 Counselling Registration will be started from 17 June 2020. KEAM 2020 Seat Allotment for the first round will be released on 21 June 2020. KEAM 2020 also known as Kerala Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Entrance Exam Counselling is organized by CEE (Commissionerate of Entrance Exam), Kerala. KEAM 2020 will be held on 02 – 03 May 2020. A candidate seeking admission in Engineering, Agriculture and Medical can apply. Counselling is also a very important part of the admission part and if a candidate is unable to attend the counselling session on the given date and time, the candidature of the student will be cancelled.

Once the merit list is released, which will be made by taking the qualifying exam and KEAM 2020 into consideration, the selected students will be notified by Emails. The counselling will commence in the last week of June 2020. It will start with online option entry.

KEAM 2020 Counselling Procedure

Below are some small important instructions that are given to the candidates.

  • Candidates will have to first register themselves online for option entry. Candidates can log in using their Application Number, Key Number, and Password. Many help centres will be opened up in various cities for candidates who do not have internet access. Candidates should visit the official website frequently as these will remain functional for some specified time period.
  • Once, the candidate is registered online, he can enter his branch and college preferences.
  • CEE, Kerala then conducts trial allotment sessions to give the candidates an idea of the real counselling procedure.
  • Counselling will be done using CAP (Centralized Allotment Process). This will be accomplished using a Single Window System (SWS) for the smooth procedure.
  • Once the registration is done, a candidate will be called to the allotted college for admission confirmation.
  • Once the online allotment is done, spot allotment is conducted to fill the remaining seats. All the candidates who are listed in the rank list are eligible for the spot admission process.

  1. Firstly, the candidates can submit the application form through online mode only.
  2. And, the candidates should submit the only single application form in case of various districts.

KEAM 2020 Exam Pattern:

Here are the details of the pattern of the exam. Read them carefully. Also, the candidates should solve sample papers to get acquainted with the exam pattern.

  • The entrance exam will be in offline mode.
  • There will be two papers. The paper I and Paper II each containing 120 questions.
  • The Paper I will consist mostly of questions from Physics and Chemistry and Paper-II will consist of questions from Mathematics.
  • Each paper will be for 150 minutes.
  • It will be an MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) Type Entrance Exam with each question carrying four marks.
  • There is scope for negative marking. The correct answer will be awarded four marks, and for the wrong answer, one mark will be deducted from the total marks scored.
  • Candidates who will fail to answer at least one question in any paper will be disqualified.
  • Every Question Paper in the examination will have its own serial number, A candidate is advised to write it in the OMR answer sheet carefully. Any mismatch in the roll number serial number combination might result in disqualification of the candidate.

For B. Tech. Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, and Food Processing

  1. Only the candidates who have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent from a recognized Board / University in the first attempt are eligible to apply for KEE 2020.
  2. The candidates need to secure at least 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology / Botany / Computer Science / Mathematics / Zoology to be eligible for application.
  3. The aspirants who are appearing in 10 + 2 or equivalent from a recognized Board / University in the year 2020 are also eligible to appear.

Important notes regarding KEE 2020 Eligibility Criteria:

  • The eligibility of the candidate is checked at any time during the entire admission process. If He/ She is ineligible for the examination, then His/ Her application will be invalid and will not proceed without any prior notice.

Candidates must go through the JCECE 2020 Paper Pattern to get an idea about the sections asked in the exam, the total number of questions and marking scheme. This helps in preparing for the examination effectively. A number of sample papers in the same pattern must be solved as well before appearing for the examination so as to get used to the pattern of the paper. This article talks about the paper pattern of JCECE 2020 depending upon the chosen stream.

JCECE 2020 Paper Pattern

The examination has two papers namely Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 can be held in both online as well as offline modes. The candidate needs to decide the mode he wants to appear in. The online examination is termed as computer-based examination whereas the offline examination is termed as pen and paper-based examination. Paper 1 is for admission in B.Tech/B.E. and Paper 2 is for admission into B.Arch courses.

  • Paper 1 consists of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics whereas Paper 2 consists of mathematics, aptitude test and drawing test.
  • The exam will be held according to the different subject groups selected including PCM with a total of 150 questions having 50 questions each from physics, chemistry and mathematics, PCB with a total of 150 questions having 50 questions each from physics, chemistry and biology/biotechnology, PCMB with a total of 200 questions with 50 questions each from physics, biology/biotechnology, chemistry and mathematics.
  • Type of questions will be objective and negative marking will be there as well. 1/4th mark will get deducted for every wrong answer.
  • The exam will be held for the duration of 3 hours.
  • The answer key, as well as the result, will be posted on the website as and when communicated officially by the board.
