The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) is under the MHRD – Ministry of Human Resource Development. The NIRF website was launched by Honourable Minister of Human Resource Development in 2015. And released Top 100 Engineering Colleges in India 2018 list.
Basically, this framework outlines a methodology to rank institutions across the country. A Core Committee set up by MHRD gave overall recommendations of broad understanding and draws the methodology to identify the broad parameters for ranking (Top 100 Engineering Colleges in India). These parameters are based on the following points.
- Teaching, Learning and Resources.
- Research and Professional Practices.
- Graduation Outcomes.
- Outreach and Inclusivity.
- Perception.
