UPSC IES 2020 Mains exam date has been released. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct UPSC IES 2020 for recruiting aspirants to Indian Engineering Services Group A / Group B services under different categories like Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. There may be approximately 500 vacancies this year. Also, the application form will also be available on the same date.
There will be three phases in the examination, i.e, Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Personality Test. Also, the Preliminary Examination was conducted on 05 January 2020 and the Main Examination will occur on 28 June 2020. Then, after the result declaration of Main Examination, the successful candidates will get the date of the Personality Test. Further, the commission will prepare the final merit list on the basis of the performance of the aspirants in all the three phases. The aspirants will get various services on the basis of their rank in the merit list, their preferences of posts, and the availability of vacancies. Application Form for UPSC IES 2020
Firstly, the application form is available from 25 September 2019 and the deadline for the submission of the same is 15 October 2019. Then, the aspirants must fill the application form through online mode on the official website. Further, the application form fee for the same is Rs. 200 /- for Unreserved and Other Backward Classes. But, Women / Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes / Physically Handicapped need not pay any application form fee. Also, the applicants can pay the application form fee through either online mode or through offline mode. There are two parts in the application form – Part 1 Registration and Part 2 Registration.
Part 1 Registration: In this part, the candidates have to enter their personal, academic, and contact information.
Part 2 Registration: In this part, the candidates need to pay application form fee, select examination centers, upload recent photograph and signature, and accept the declaration.
