BITSAT 2020: Important Dates, Application Form, Eligibility, Admit Card

BITSAT 2020 or Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test is a University Level Entrance Exam organized by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani.  BITSAT exam is conducted yearly to offer admission into various Integrated First Degree Programmes. The candidates will get admission into B.E, B.Pharm and M.Sc programmes after qualifying the exam. The BITSAT 2020 Application Form will be available from the third week of December 2019.

BITS Pilani Admission Test is for all the three campuses located at Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. Interested candidates must register themselves for the online test conducted by BITS Pilani.

BITSAT 2020 Application Form

Here are the complete details of Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test 2020 Application Form:

  • BITSAT Application Form will be coming by the second week of December 2019.
  • The Application forms can be filled by the candidates through online mode.
  • The last date to submit the application form is anticipated by the second week of March 2020.
  • In case, candidates want to make modification or correction in the details of the application, the corrections can be made from the second - third week of March 2020.
  • The complete application process will include certain steps – Online Registration, Filling the Application form, Uploading of Photograph and Signature and making payment of application fee.
  • International applicants have to follow the same application procedure to get themselves registered.

BITSAT 2020 Admit Card

BITSAT 2020 Admit Card/Hall Ticket of the candidates who have successfully booked their test slot will be made available on the official website by the second week of April 2020.

  • The candidates should take a printout of the admit card to be carried to the exam centre.
  • The details of the candidates and the exam centre will be mentioned on the BITSAT admit card 2020.
  • No candidate will be allowed to appear for the test without admit card.

BITSAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria 

The Eligibility Criteria for BITS Pilani and other campuses of BITS are given below for various offered courses. Candidates must carefully go through the eligibility before they start filling the application form. 

For First degree program excluding B.Pharm:

  • Exam Qualification: Candidate must have completed their 10+2 level or any equivalent exam from any recognized board/University.
  • Subject Qualification: Applying candidates must have passed their 10+2 level exams with their core subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Also, he/she must possess proficiency in English.
  • Qualifying Marks: Candidates must have got aggregate of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. In each of the subjects, he/she must have scored 60% marks.
  • Appearing: Candidates appearing in the 12th level exams can also apply.

For Admission into B.Pharm:

  • Qualifying Exam: Applying candidate must have passed their 12th level exams or its equivalent exam from any recognized board/University.
  • Qualifying Subjects: He/she must have passed their 12th level exams with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics as the main subjects. Also, he/she must have adequate proficiency in English.
  • Qualifying Marks: Candidates must have scored an aggregate of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics subjects. In each of the subjects, he/she must have secured 60% marks.

BITSAT 2020 Preparation Tips

To score average marks and rank in exam, candidates can look up to the following BITSAT 2020 Preparation Tips:

  • Solve past exam papers and sample papers.
  • Check the BITS Pilani Syllabus online before starting the preparation.
  • Give the test series as much as possible and analyse each test.

BITSAT 2020 Result

The candidates will be able to see their BITSAT 2020 results on the computer right after the completion of their test. The result will be displayed in terms of several total correct and incorrect answers, with the score. The candidates will also be able to check their score report on the BITS admission website on the next day of the test. The candidate can also take a printout of the score report for further use.

BITSAT 2020 Merit list and Admission Procedure

The admission to the courses offered under the BITSAT 2020 Entrance test will be based on the performance of a candidate in the exam. A candidate needs to clear the minimum cut-off marks to make it up to the merit list. Only those candidates will be called for admission whose name appears on the merit list. The authority will publish two separate merit list for B.Pharm course and other courses respectively. In case, the scores obtained by two or more candidate are same then a tie-breaker method will be opted to resolve the issue.

The official merit list of the entrance exam will be published by the authority. The top scorers will get the scolarships as per the criteria mention below in a table:
