KVPY 2019 or Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana was established by Government of India in 1999 and it is a national level fellowship program. The selected candidates of pre-Ph.D level are provided scholarships through this Yojana. The KVPY 2019 Admit Card will be available in the second week of October 2019.

KVPY is an entrance test organized by Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore at the national level to select the eligible candidates through the Aptitude Test and Interview. The selected candidates are awarded the scholarships who can then pursue their career in the field of Research Science.

 The Indian Institute of Science is situated in Bangalore and has set up a Management Committee as well as a National Advisory Committee (NAC) for checking out the implementation of this Yojana. KVPY 2019 Application Form 

The candidates can fill the KVPY 2019 Application Form online by filling in the details given in the form. The students can follow the instructions given below to fill the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) exam Application Form:

  • The students can fill the application form from July 2019.
  • The students must fill the application form before the last date.
  • The students need to follow the given steps to complete the Application Process: Completion of the registration process, filling the details asked in the Application Form, Uploading the documents, making exam preference and paying the Application Fees.
  • The candidates need to have all the important documents (scanned images) mentioned below when they come for submitting the Application Form: 
  • Photograph
  • Signature  
  • Caste/ Medical certificate (only for PWD)
  • The students can fill the Application Form online and submit it on the official website.
  • The students are advised to take out a printout of the application form and keep it carefully for further use.

Application Fee

  • The general candidates need to pay an amount of Rs. 1000/- and ST/SC/PWD category students need to pay Rs.500/- as Registration Fees.
  • The Application Fees can be deposited through both the modes Online (Debit card/Credit card/ Internet Banking) and Offline (Challan).
  • The Application Fee is Non-Refundable.

KVPY 2019 Admit Card

The KVPY 2019 Admit Card will be released in the second week of October 2019 on the official website. The candidates need to carry their admit cards and id proof with them on the exam day.

The candidates need to enter their application number to download their admit card. The Admit card will have all the important details regarding the KVPY exam such as Date of Exam, Venue, Exam Instructions etc.

Attempts All the questions are compulsory for SA stream students whereas the SB/SX stream students can attempt any three sections from Part I and two sections from Part II.

KVPY 2019 Syllabus

The students can prepare the topics from class 10th, 12th, and 1st year UG syllabus according to the stream they have selected. Also, there is no KVPY 2019 Syllabus which has been prescribed for the entrance test. The aim of the KVPY entrance exam 2019 will be to test the knowledge and analytical ability of the student. The board would also be conducting the mock tests to make candidates familiar with the exam pattern.

KVPY 2019 Preparation Tips

  • The candidates must study systematically and try to stick to the time table they have prepared. The candidates must study from reliable sources only and refer the books of renowned authors.
  • The students need to rigorously practice from Aptitude, Reasoning, Mathematics etc. topics from which most of the questions are asked.
  • The candidates must solve previous year question paper and also the available sample papers.
  • The candidates must be well aware of all the happenings in the country and internationally which would help them in being up to date and hence enhance their general knowledge.
  • The candidates need to have a proper diet and rest, which would help them in maintaining their health.
