NEET PG 2020 - Important Dates, Application Form, Admit Card

NEET PG 2020 stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Post Graduate 2020 which will be organized by National Board of Examination (NBE). The exam will be conducted on 05 January 2020. NEET PG is organized annually and is a National Level Examination which is compulsory for all the Post Graduate Aspirants if they wish to pursue Post Graduation in India. There are a few exams and colleges that hold their examination which is mentioned below:

  • AIIMS, New Delhi and other AIIMS
  • PGIMER, Chandigarh
  • JIPMER, Puducherry
  • NIMHANS, Bengaluru
  • Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum

The courses offered include the MD/MS/PG Diploma which further has various fields in which candidates wish to pursue their masters.

50% of the All India seats are reserved by MCC for the candidates who qualify the NEET PG examination and rest of the seats are reserved by the State which again offers admission based on the NEET PG score and merit. The State domicile that candidate apply with will get them rank in that particular state apart from which an All India Rank would be assigned as well.

NEET PG 2020 Application Form

NEET PG 2020 Application Form will be available online on the official website of NBE by First week of November 2020 and last till Third week of November 2020. Applicants are requested to go through the below-mentioned guidelines to not make any mistakes while filling up the application form:

NEET PG 2020 Eligibility Criteria

NEET PG 2020 Eligibility Criteria are given below for all sorts of applicants and all the applicants must go through it to know about their eligibility:

  • Foreign nationals don't need to have temporary registration with MCI at the time of writing NEET PG. Foreign Nationals can write NEET-PG without MCI registration. The Medical Council of India may, on payment of the prescribed fee for registration, grant temporary registration for the duration of the Post Graduate course limited to the medical college/institution to which he/she is admitted for the time being exclusively for pursuing postgraduate studies. Provided further that temporary registration to such foreign national shall be subject to the condition that such person is duly registered with appropriate registering authority in his own country where from he has obtained his Basic Medical qualification and is duly recognized by the corresponding Medical Council or concerned authority.”
  • Candidates found to be ineligible at any stage of NEET PG 2020 will not be permitted to appear in the examination and/or counselling. In an unlikely event of any ineligible candidate appearing and/or being successful in the NEET PG 2020, the results/ candidature of such candidate shall be cancelled and/or are deemed to be cancelled.
  • Requests for appearing in NEET PG 2020 from candidates completing internship after 3First March 2020 or having qualifications that are not recognized as per IMC Act shall be summarily rejected. Candidates are further advised not to canvass for the same.
  • The cutoff date for completion of internship towards determination of eligibility for Appearing in NEET PG 2020 shall be 3First March 2020. Appearing in NEET-PG does not confer any automatic rights upon the candidate for admission at medical institute/college for MD/MS or PG Diploma Courses.
  • The dates indicated by candidates concerning 12 months Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship in the application form (i.e. internship starting and completion date) shall be treated as final and candidates will be required to submit the original Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship completion certificate at the time of admission in allotted Medical College/Institute.
  • The cut-off dates for the recognition of the Medical Colleges, from where the candidates have passed their MBBS Degree Course and completed compulsory rotatory Internship for the year 2020 will be as prescribed by MCI. The Colleges recognized after the cut-off date prescribed by MCI will not be considered.
  • Registration with MCI/State Medical Council is necessary and its documentary proof should be furnished by the candidates on the day of examination and at the time of counselling/admission.

NEET PG 2020 Admit Card

NEET PG 2020 Admit Card will be available on the official website of NBE by the Fourth week of December 2019 and must be downloaded by all the applicants and undermentioned guidelines must be followed:

  • Downloaded Admit Card of NEET PG 2020.
  • Original Proof of Identity- Aadhaar/ Passport/ Driving License/ Voter ID.
  • Candidates must show on demand the Admit Card (NEET PG 2020) for entry to the Examination Hall. A candidate not possessing print out of the downloaded admit card and valid photo identity shall not be allowed to enter in the Examination Hall by the Center-in-Charge.
  • A photograph of the candidate and the biometric will be taken at the Centre before the candidate is indicated his seat for taking the examination. The seat will be randomly allotted to the candidate on completing the procedure.
  • Candidates found carrying any textual material, printed or written, bits of papers or any other material except those mentioned above inside examination Hall will be debarred from appearing the examination.
  • Mobile Phones, Bluetooth devices, Calculators, Slide Rules, Log Tables, Electronic Watches with facilities of Calculator are not allowed in the Examination Hall. Possession of such items during the Examinations may lead to cancellation of candidature.
  • No candidate, without the special permission of the Centre-in-Charge, will leave his/her seat or Examination Hall until the duration of examination is over.

NEET PG 2020 Result will be announced on the official website of NBE by Fourth week of January 2020 in which applicants will be given an All India Rank, State Rank and Marks Scored in the examination. Candidates are requested to download their scorecards as it will be helpful at the time of counselling and admission.

NEET PG 2020 Counselling will commence after the result declaration where students will appear for State as well as National Counselling which is centrally organized.
