Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar College Admission 2020 Undergraduate Course

Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College provides admission in Bachelor of Art (B.A Honours) degree in 06 specializations, B.Com (Regular) degree in 02 specializations UG level. Candidates must have passed class 12 or equivalent exam with percentage minimum of 45% marks from a recognized board to apply for B.A and B.Com degree program. For admission in B. Com program, candidates must have Mathematics or business mathematics subject in class 12. For Honours degree, candidates must have scored at least 60% marks in Mathematics, minimum 60% marks in aggregate of four subjects including Mathematics, one language and two other subjects.
Selection in B. Com course depends on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination (Class XII). Final merit list will be prepared on the basis of score obtained in one language subject, and best marks in rest three subjects.

  • Admissions are granted on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying exam.
  • DU will release a cutoff list soon after the registration process.

Joint Admission Test for admission to B.A. (H) Business Economics

The admission to the programme BA (H) Business Economics is offered on the basis of Joint Admission test which is conducted by the University of Delhi for BMS/BBA(FIA) & BA (H) Business Economics courses. The weightage for the programme shall be for all categories:

  • Written Exam : 65 % and
  • 12th Results : 35 % .

In class 12th the four subjects must include (a) Maths (b) English and two subjects from Table A in Delhi University Prospectus. Detailed information regarding the B.A. (H) Business Economics Programme can be obtained from Delhi University Website i.e. www.du.ac.in.

Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College International Student Admissions 2020

All the foreign candidates can take part in the admission process through the Office of the Foreign Students Advisor. All the international students are supposed to undergo a medical examination within one month of their admission according to the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The admission of all the international students will only be confirmed after the results of the medical fitness examination and the admissions would remain provisional till then.

Documents Required

The following list of documents are required at time of verification:

  • 10+2 mark sheet and original provisional certificate
  • 10th certificate as date of birth proof
  • 10th mark sheet

  • Migration/transfer certificate
  • Certificate of caste/disability (if applicable)

  • 2 photographs verified by head of institution last attended and issuing authority in case of sports quota admission
  • College forms including anti ragging affidavit, admission, library/identity card and undertaking

Fees on account of University Examination will be charged on the dates notified on the notice board. Names of students who fail to make payment of University/College dues up to the last date as notified shall be removed from the college rolls. However, such students may be re-admitted at the discretion of the Principal on a written request along with requisite readmission fee in each case as required.

Refund of Fee on Withdrawal/Cancellation of Admission or Migration
A student wishing to withdraw his/her name from the college must do as per due process. She/he is liable to pay all fees and other dues until his/her name is formally withdrawn. Identity Card and Library Tickets must be surrendered and other dues be cleared at the time of withdrawal from the college failing which a penalty as decided by the College will be charged. If a student applies for withdrawal of admission at any stage, fee will be refunded as per the University guidelines.

Counselling

Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College will begin counselling for all eligible and qualified students. Candidates are expected to attend the counseling round on the date specified at the venue to ensure their admission. Candidates will carry along the original copies of the aforementioned documents along with their self-tested photocopies. Documents needed during the counseling process are listed below.

Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College (BRAC) came into existence on 8th Feb 1991 during the birth centenary year of Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar with Dr. P.C. Patanjali as the founder Principal. It is a constituent co-educational college of the University of Delhi and is 100 % funded by Delhi Government. The college is privileged to have WUS Health Centre in its premises to look after the health care needs of students of Delhi University and its employees. The College is situated near upcoming Metro station which will soon be operational. Under the capacity expansion plan initiated by GNCTD, the University has selected our college as one of the Regional-cum-Study Centres to facilitate undergraduate teaching under Personal Contact Programme (PCP) for School of Open Learning (SOL) students. The college is also one of the Centres for teaching to the girl students under Non Collegiate Women Education Board (NCWEB), University of Delhi. Our College has also been selected as one of the 12 Centres spread all over India by Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Tamil Nadu which offers one year Post Graduate Diploma in Youth Development (PGDYD) under the coordinatorship of Dr. S.S Chawla.
