IIT Ropar Admission Process 2020 varies according to the course in which the candidate wants to take admission. For admission in B.Tech, candidate must have good JEE Advanced Rank, For M.tech engineering courses admission is based on GATE exam score. Whereas for Ph. D. candidate must qualify exams such as CSIR NET/ UGC NET/ DBT or a Written Test conducted by IIT Ropar followed by Interview.

IIT Ropar B.Tech Admission 2020
For taking admissions at IIT Ropar’s BTech programmes, candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria for JEE Main and JEE Advanced which includes candidate’s performance in JEE Main, Candidate's age, number of attempts, Class XII results etc. The admissions are based on JoSAA counselling.

IIT Ropar M.Tech Admission 2020
IIT Ropar provides admission in M.Tech, M.Sc and MS by Research programs in many specializations. For selection in M.Tech and MS by Research programmes, candidate must have valid GATE score followed by counselling. For admission in M.Sc course, candidate must have valid JAM score followed by counselling.

IIT Ropar Ph.D Admission 2020
IIT, Ropar offers Ph.D. in Regular, External, Direct and Part-time modes. Direct Ph.D. course is available for B.Tech/BE graduates who are interested in research work. Aspirants can apply online to secure admission in the Ph.D. program.
Final selection is based on written test followed by an interview conducted by IIT Ropar. At the time of admission, preference will be given to GATE / CSIR NET/ UGC NET or DBT qualified candidates. Those students who have passed their ME/M.Tech degree from any of the IITs will be exempted from the requirement of GATE score.
