IGIPESS Admission Process 2020
Candidates have to go through the following the following procedures in order to apply for admission at Indira Gandhi Institute of Physical Education and Sports Sciences:
- Entrance Test
- Eligible candidates need to appear for the entrance test conducted by the Department of Physical Education & Sports Sciences, University of Delhi.
- Physical Fitness Test
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for Physical Fitness Test based on their performance in the entrance test.
- Personal Interview
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for personal interview based on their performance in the physical fitness test.
- Final Selection
- Candidates are selected based on entrance test marks, physical fitness tests, sports proficiency marks, and performance in the personal interview. Selection parameters and weightage

Application Procedure
- Before filling in the application form, candidates are advised to read the prospectus carefully and ensure their eligibility for admission, as per the conditions laid down in the prospectus.
- Candidates are required to apply on the prescribed application form only. The application form along with the Attendance Card should be filled in by the candidate in his/her handwriting using a ballpoint pen. Incomplete applications shall be rejected, without assigning any further reasons.
- Payment of Entrance Test Fee.

- Cheque/ Money Order/Postal Order shall not be accepted. The candidate should write his/her name and form number on the reverse of the bank draft before sending the application by mail.
- The candidate should ensure that the following documents are attached to his/her application form at the time of submission:
- Cash payment receipt of the Entrance Test Fee.
- Attested copies of all certificates/mark sheets.
- Four passport size photographs (two attested affixed on the application form and one without attestation on the Attendance Card.)
- No Objection Certificate from the present employers (in case of employed candidates only)
The fact a candidate has been allowed to appear in the Entrance tests or interview does not imply that the candidate's eligibility for the course has been verified. - Entrance Test Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
