Mepco Schlenk Engineering College offers M.Tech and M.E. full-time from the undergraduate level. Programs in three and seven respective specialisations. The college has a cumulative intake of 230 learners in UG programmes with a length of 2 years. Lateral admissions are also approved by the college in M.E. and courses for M.Tech. In addition to the postgraduate programmes, the college also provides 60 students a year with a full-time Master's in Business Administration (MBA) degree. One of the renowned private engineering colleges, Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, Sivakasi, was launched under a self-financing scheme on 17 October 1984. MEPCO refers to Thirumangalam, the Metal Powder Company, and Schlenk is the company's German collaborator. The institution is funded by the Metal Powder Company Limited's Mepco Schlenk Charities, a social welfare organisation, Thirumangalam, which has received several National Awards for outstanding success in export promotion and R&D.
