Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha offers admission in many courses at UG level in the streams of Arts and Science under a variety of specialisations for the duration of three years. Candidates need to pass class 10+2 examination for admission in UG courses. Admission in these UG courses is purely based on the candidate's merit in class 10+2 examination results as well as Personal Interview. For admission in BEd programe, candidates need to appear in Combined Shiksha Shastri Entrance Test, which is also known as CSSET. This exam is conducted by Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha to offer admission at various Sanskrit deemed universities. By qualifying this offline exam, candidates can take admission in any of the three Universities concentrating on the Sanskrit language.
The University offers multiple courses for graduates who want to pursue higher education in their respective fields. M.A. programme is offered under three different specialisations, M.Sc.(Master of Science), MAM (Master of Advanced Management) degrees for a duration of two years. University also offers PG Diploma programme for a duration of one year. Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in the respective field for admission in PG course. Admission to the PG courses is purely based on the merit of the candidate in their UG level as well as Personal Interview.

Combined Shiksha Acharya Entrance Test (CSAET) exam is conducted by Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati. It is a combined entrance test for admission in M.Ed programme. CSAET exam is mainly conducted to offer admission in the deemed Sanskrit universities across India, namely SLBS Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha (New Delhi), Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan (New Delhi), Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha (Tirupati). Question paper of the combined test is divided into two parts which have Multiple choice questions.
National Sanskrit University also offer admission in M.Phil. and Ph.D courses for research aspirants for the duration of one year and two years respectively. Applicants need to appear in Combined Vidya Varidhi Entrance Test (CVVET) for admission in Ph.D programme. For admission in doctorate level PhD programme, candidates must have qualified NET/JRF/Lectureship test/SLET exam and for admission in M.Phil programme, sanskrit/education are required to qualify the entrance test.
