Allahabad University PGAT 2023 Exam Pattern consist of 2 papers in Allahabad University PGAT 2023- Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 will be in online mode as well as offline mode, whereas Paper 2 will be in online mode only. The University of Allahabad conducts PGAT every year for the admission of students in postgraduate courses. It is a state-level examination conducted by the university to provide equal opportunity to every student. Candidates need to fulfill all the eligibility criteria and go through the admission brochure to not miss any important information provided by the university.  Allahabad University PGAT 2023 Exam Pattern

The candidates can read the below information on Allahabad University PGAT 2023:
Allahabad University PGAT 2023 will be conducted between late June to early July tentatively. Allahabad University will test the students based on two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 will be in both online and offline mode but Paper 2 will be only in online mode. The papers will differ according to the courses students will apply.
  • The PGAT 2023 will be 300 marks.
  • The admission brochure will be on the official website soon for the MA/MSc/PG courses
  • The duration of the exam is 3 hours and 2 hours depending on the different examinations of students.
  • A total number of 150 questions will be asked from the students.
  • Extra 15 minutes will be provided to the students as well as invigilators to distribute the question and answer booklets. In these 15 minutes, only students have to fill out the response sheet provided by the invigilators.
  • There are many postgraduate programs offered to the students which they can take admission.
  • There are a total number of 43 courses provided by Allahabad University to the postgraduate students.

Allahabad University PGAT 2023 Exam Pattern in Detail

The PGAT I paper will consist of two sections: 1. General topics like reasoning, English, and General awareness 2. Subject related questions
The PGAT II paper will consist of 3 sections: 1. General topics like reasoning, English, and General awareness 2. Subject-related questions 3. Subject 2 Opted topics.
PGAT test pattern:
  • Test Method: The test will be done in both methods (online and offline) according to the courses.
  • Question Type: The questionnaire will contain questions for a variety of options.
  • Test Time: The test time will be two hours. An additional 15 minutes will be provided for distributing brochures and completing the entries. 
  •                   The test time will be three hours for MA/MSc programs.
  • Question Number: A total of 150 questions will be asked in the test. The total paper will be 300 marks conducted by the university.
  • Marking system: 2 marks will be given for each correct answer. In the PGAT there will be a negative marking of 0.5 marks for every incorrect answer. Therefore, it is recommended for every student to answer the question which they know perfectly. 
  • Language of the test: the language of the test PGAT will be only English, no other language will be entertained other than language papers.
  • Test Syllabus: In Paper I the reasoning, English, quantitative, and awareness questions will be asked by the deemed university. In Paper II respective subject questions will be asked like Indian Culture, Political History of India, Ancient Civilizations, Art and Archaeology, Part A-Macro Economics, Economic Theory, Money Banking & Public Finance, International Economics, Development and Planning, Part B-Indian Economy, Statistics, India’s Economic Policy, Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Zoology, Anthropology, etc. Respective questions to students from respective subjects.
LAT Test Pattern (Law Enforcement Test):
  • Question Type: The questionnaire will contain questions for a variety of options.
  • Test Time: The test time will be two hours.
  • Question Number: A total of 150 questions with 300 marks will be asked in the test.
  • Marking Strategy: 2 marks will be awarded for each correct answer and half (0.5) marks will be deducted for the wrong answer.
  • Language of the test: the language of the test LAT will be only English. 
  • Test Method: The test will be conducted online. 
  • Test Syllabus: In Paper I the reasoning, English, quantitative, and awareness questions will be asked by the deemed university. While in Paper II legal reasoning and general awareness questions about political science, law, legal aptitude, IPC, Torts, Criminal Law, etc. will be covered.
  • Qualifications: Any student with a bachelor’s degree of more than 55 percent can apply to Allahabad University LAW program.

Allahabad University MBA Exam 2023

  • Question Type: The questionnaire will contain questions for a variety of options.
  • Language of the test: the language of the test PGAT will be only English. 
  • Test Method: The test will be conducted online. 
  • Type of MBA: Allahabad University offers MBA in Finance, Information Technology and System Management, Performance Management, Human Resource Management, Senior Management, Marketing, and Rural Development.
  • Eligibility: The students have to clear the Allahabad University MBA exam along with the interview and Group Discussion Process to secure a seat at Allahabad University.
  • Qualifications: Any student with a bachelor’s degree more than 60 percent can apply to the Allahabad University MBA program.

Eligibility and Qualifications for ALLAHABAD UNIVERSITY EXAM 2023

  • For the M.Sc. in Biotechnology, the candidate must have completed the B.Sc. or B.A. in the appropriate subject with a mark of at least 50% in the tests.
  • To be eligible for MA, a candidate must have a professional qualification of at least 59% from a recognized University.
  • To be welcomed in M. Tech., The candidate must have a valid GATE entry test and valid qualifications required for admission.
  • To be admitted to other PG courses, candidates must pass the PGAT entry exam with valid points.
  • To be accepted into the MBA Program, a candidate must be eligible for the PGAT Entry Examination and Group Discussion, and personal interview rounds.

Allahabad University PGAT 2023 Marking Scheme

  • The total marks of the examination is 300 marks.
  • 150 questions will be asked in the examination.
  • For every correct answer, candidates will obtain 2 marks.
  • On the other hand, there is a negative marking of 0.5 for every wrong answer.

The exam pattern will be the same and will be followed the same for every exam, only the respective subjects applied will be changed and their syllabus will be changed in Paper-II.
