AP DEECET Eligibility Criteria 2023, candidates must have completed or must be appearing in the qualifying examination. They must also have obtained at least 50% marks in the aggregate. Candidates should also note that they should not be below 16 years of age at the time of applying for this exam. Those who are above 21 or 24 years of age (depending on their category) are not eligible for admission.

Educational Qualifications for the AP DEECET
The following are the educational requirements for the AP DEECET:
1) Applicants applying for admission to the two-year D.EI.Ed course should have passed a recognised two-year Intermediate Examination (of the pattern 10+2) in any discipline.
2) Candidates must have a minimum of 50 percent in their qualifying board (45 percent for SC/ST applicants).
Nationality
1) Applicants must be Indian citizens and meet the local/non-local status standards outlined in the Andhra Pradesh Education Institutions (Regulations of Admission) Order, 1974, as well as the regulations of the Andhra Pradesh School Education Department.
Age Limit
Applicants for the D.EI.Ed programme must be at least 17 years old as of September 1st of the year in which they wish to enrol.

Subject wise criteria
Applicants must have studied the following subjects at the Intermediate level to be eligible for the AP DEECET:
- Mathematics
- Physical Sciences: Physics and Chemistry
- Biological Sciences: Botany and Zoology
- Social Studies: Civics, Geography,Commerce. Economics and History.
Applicants who have completed vocational training will be ineligible.
