Applicants who obtained their qualifications through correspondence or distance learning programmes are qualified only if (a) the programmes are accepted by the DEC-IGNOU, and (b) they passed the qualifying test at the time of application with an average of at least 55 percent marks (50 percent for SC/ST/PwD) calculated as per item (4 or 5) above. • If a Board or University provides grades rather than marks, the calculation of equal points will be done according to the Board's or University's procedures. If the University does not have a system in place to convert CGPA to equivalent points, the equivalence will be found by dividing the received CGPA by the highest attainable CGPA and multiplying the result by 100.
  • A candidate/applicant must have passed all needed subjects at that level from the same Board/university at any level of studies [class X, class XII, or graduation].
  • It is not possible to transfer the admit card to another person. According to the constitution, impersonation is a crime. Without a valid admit card, no applicant will be allowed to take the test. At the moment of entry, the entrance card must also be created. The admission card must be kept by all candidates until the admission process is completed.
