CENTAC Dip Polytechnic 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the CENTAC Puducherry Polytechnic 2023 are as follows:

• For Regular Admission: For regular admission to the first year of the 3 year Polytechnic diploma courses, the candidate should have passed in the S.S.L.C. examination or an examination equivalent thereto acceptable by the Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
• For Lateral Entry:
  • Diploma in Engineering Courses: HSC (Academic Stream) or an examination equivalent thereto acceptable by the Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai, TamilNadu with Physics, Chemistry as compulsory subjects and Mathematics or Biology as one of the subjects.
  • Diploma in Modern Office Practice Course: H.Sc. (Academic Stream) or an examination equivalent thereto acceptable by the Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai, Tamil Nadu with English as compulsory subjects and Accountancy or Elements of Economics or Elements of Commerce as one of the subjects.

OR

• • HSC (Vocational Stream) or an examination equivalent thereto acceptable by the Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai, Tamil Nadu with the respective specialisation.

OR

• • ITI in respective specialisation (Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Architectural Assistantship, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Information Technology, Chemical Engineering, Modern Office Practice) and with SSLC qualification.
• For Part-time Diploma Courses: S.S.L.C. examination or an examination equivalent thereto acceptable by the Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai, Tamil Nadu with a minimum of 2 years full-time work experience in a registered firm /company/ industry / educational and / Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field on which admission is sought.

• • ITI in respective specialisation ( Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering ) and with SSLC qualification.

CENTAC Dip Polytechnic 2023 Selection Criteria

Candidates can check CENTAC Dip  Polytechnic 2023 Selection Criteria below in the given points:

• For Regular and Lateral Entry Mode of Entry
  • The total percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination will determine the merit of a candidate.
  • Where grades are awarded instead of marks in the qualifying examination, only the
    minimum marks applicable to the respective grades in a particular subject will be taken into account.
•  For Part-Time Mode of Entry
  • The marks secured in SSLC / Qualifying examination will be reduced to a base of
    80 marks. Where grades are awarded only the minimum marks applicable to the respective grades in the particular subject will be taken into account for determining the merit rank.
  • 20 % Weightage will be given to work experience obtained after passing the
    qualifying examination. 4 marks for each completed year of experience will be given with a
    maximum of 20 marks.
