Delhi CET 2023: Exam Date, Application Form, Eligibility Criteria

Delhi CET 2023 Registration will commence from the first week of June 2023. notification will be released by the Department of Training and Technical Education (DTTE). Delhi Common Entrance Test is conducted at the state level annually to offer admissions in various full-time diploma courses in the field of engineering, technology, pharmacy, etc. CET is also available for lateral entry of applicants passed from CBSE 10+2 (PCMB) from Schools located in Delhi or candidates passed from CBSE 10th and Industrial Training Institutions (ITI) located in Delhi (2 years). These candidates will also be eligible for admission to the Second Year/Third Semester of Full-Time Diploma Engineering courses. Candidates can fill CET Delhi 2023 Application form online by accessing the website.

  • Delhi Cet application form has been available from the 3rd week of June.
  • The applicant is advised to go through the Information Bulletin carefully before filling the application form.
  • Aadhar number or any valid govt. approved photo ID of the applicant is required for online submission of the application form.
  •  It will be the responsibility of the candidate to make ensure that they are eligible to apply and fulfils all the conditions prescribed for the admission.
  •  If ineligibility of the applicant is detected at any stage, before or after the examination and declaration of results, or during any stage of the admission will be cancelled without any notice.
  • A separate application form is to be filled for each Test. Only one application will be allowed per applicant per test.
  • Candidates must download admit card of CET with instructions and check whether all details provided by them are correct or not.

Delhi CET 2023 Application Fee

The application fee for the Common Entrance Test is Rs. 400/- (bank charges as applicable).

Mode of Payment
Online Mode: The application fee must be submitted online either by credit card/debit card/ net banking.
  • The online fee once paid will not be refunded (full or partial) under any circumstances.
  •  Multiple payments of fees will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Delhi CET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must check their Delhi CET 2023 Eligibility Criteria for different TEST before applying for CET.

Education Qualification
For TEST 1
  • The applicant must have passed their 10th class or equivalent from any recognised Board with a minimum of 35% or 3.7 CGPA aggregate.
  • Science, Mathematics, and English subjects are compulsory and the candidate should have passed in each of these three subjects individually.
For TEST 2
  • The applicant must have passed the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination or equivalent from any recognised Board with a minimum of 35% marks in aggregate of the best three subjects including English for MOP (Eng.) and Hindi or Sanskrit for MOP (Hindi).
  • The applicant must have obtained pass marks in the relevant subject i.e. English for MOP and Hindi/Sanskrit for MOP.
For TEST 3

Candidate must have passed 12th examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics / Biology (Botany and Zoology).

For TEST 4
Candidate must have passed 12th examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics / Biology ( Botany and Zoology) OR 12th Science (with Mathematics as one of the main Subjects) or 12th Science with Vocational OR 12th Science with Technical.
OR
Candidate must have passed 10th + (2years ITI) with appropriate Trade in that order shall be eligible for admission to Second Year Diploma Course(s) of appropriate Programme. The ITIs/ ITCs must be from Institutes located only in Delhi and affiliated to DGE&T/BTE, Delhi.ITI candidate who had already appeared for his/her final exam has to submit their passed certificate/mark sheet or else their provisional admission will be cancelled.

Delhi CET 2023 Admit Card

 The exact information about the issue of the CET Delhi 2023 Admit Card will be made available on the website.

  • The registered applicant can download the hall ticket showing the roll no. and Centre details by logging in the website approximately 10 days before the date of CET.
  • The aspirants are advised to check the website regularly for any updates.
  • No separate communication will be sent in this regard.
  • The aspirants are directed to retain the Admit Card till the admission is finalized.
  • No duplicate admit card  /Hall Ticket will be issued by the Controller CET-2023 after the Entrance test. 
  • The candidate is advised to read the instruction given on the hall ticket carefully.

Delhi CET 2023 Result

The decision of the resulting committee regarding question papers and result preparation is the final step for admission.

  • The Controller of examination, CET-2023 will declare the rank of qualified candidates only. No separate intimation shall be sent to the candidates in this regard.
  • All the admissions will be made by the CET based on the merit ranking in the tests and fulfillment of minimum eligibility conditions prescribed for each test.
  • The result of the common Entrance Test will be displayed on the official website.

CET Delhi 2023 Merit List

Based on the marks obtained in the Common entrance test, the controller will prepare a list of the applicant in order of merit in each category, for each test.

  • For being eligible for admission, a general candidate must secure at least of 10% marks, and the reserved category (SC/ST/OBC/PWD) must secure a minimum of 5% marks.
  • The aspirants belonging to a reserved class, who qualify based on relaxation in cut-off percentage, i.e., 5%, will not be eligible for admission against general category seats.
 MERIT FOR TEST-2 (MOP)

 Separate benefits are going to be generated for MOP English & MOP Hindi, which will include candidates who appeared for both MOP English as well as MOP Hindi, i.e., candidates who attempted Part-D of Test-2

CET Delhi 2023 Tie Breaker Rule

For Test 1

The applicants having more marks in Mathematics in CET will be ranked higher. In case of a further tie, the order of rank would be based on marks obtained in Physics in CET, followed by marks obtained in Chemistry in CET, followed by marks obtained in English, marks obtained in Biology and then the Date of birth for drawing the merit list.

For Test 2
  • (i)For MOP (English): Candidates securing more marks in GK and GA in CET will rank higher. After that date of birth shall be considered for drawing the merit list i.e. the candidate older in age shall rank higher.
    After that candidate Securing more marks in Sections B/D as the case may be will be considered.
    (ii)For MOP (Hindi): Candidates securing more marks in GK and GA in CET will be ranked higher. After that date of birth will be considered for drawing the merit list i.e. the aspirant older in age will be ranked higher.
    After that candidate securing more marks in Sections C/D as the case may be considered.
For Test 3

The aspirant securing more marks in Biology / Mathematics in CET will be ranked higher. After that Date of birth will be considered for drawing the merit list.

For Test 4

Applicants having more marks in Mathematics in CET will rank higher. In case of a further tie, the order of rank would be marks obtained in Physics in CET, followed by marks obtained in Chemistry in CET, followed by marks obtained in Biology in CET, followed by marks obtained in English and General Aptitude in CET and then the Date of birth will be considered for drawing the merit list.

Delhi CET  2023 Counselling

The test conducting body will conduct online counseling for the shortlisted candidates. The procedure for Delhi CET 2023 Counselling will be published on the official website soon after the declaration of the result. For Delhi CET Counselling, the applicant needs to register for it first and then submit choices of institute and discipline in the order of their Preference. The following process will take place at the time of counseling:

  • Submission of the processing fee
  • Online registration
  • Online choice submission
  • Result of seat allotment and printing of tentative allotment letter
  • Part-payment of institutional fees (online)
  • Verification of documents (completion of enrolment formalities)
  • Freezing of allotted seat after every round
  • Payment of balance institutional fees and confirmation of allotment
  • Second/third/fourth counseling
  • Spot round
  • Online cancellation of admission and refund of fees
