DSAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria
The Dayanand Sagar Admission Test or DSAT is a university level examination conducted by the Dayanand Sagar University for admissions into various UG and PG courses offered by the university. The examination is conducted for students from all over the world. It a recognized university as per the state government of Karnataka. For B.Tech:
- DSAT provide admission in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science & Technology, Aerospace Engineering in B.tech field.
- Must Pass in PUC / senior secondary school examination.
- Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with one of Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics / Technical Vocational subjects.
- The general candidate must have obtained at least 45% marks.
- The aspirant should 40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST and OBC category.
For Bachelor of Computer Applications(BCA):
- Pass in senior secondary school, A-Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent.
- The aspirant must score a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate.
For Bachelor of Commerce(B.Com):
- Candidates who have completed Two year Pre – University course of Karnataka State or its equivalent.
- Business Studies and Accountancy are two major subjects of study in both first and second-year pre-university
- Candidate must score aggregate of 50% PUC/ CBSE/ ISCE/10+2 or Equivalent Examination
- For SC/ST and OBC category aggregate of 45% is a must.
For Bachelor of Business Administration(BBA):
- Pass in senior secondary school, A-Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent.
- Candidate must score a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate
- In the case of candidate belonging to SC/ST & OBC category minimum of 45% marks in aggregate.
For Bachelor in pharmacy(B.Pharm):
- Pass in senior secondary school with Physics, Chemistry and English with Mathematics or Biotechnology or Computer Science or Biology as optional subjects
- Candidate must score a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate.
- Lateral Entry: Diploma holders in Pharmacy from an institution recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India.
For Pharm D:
- Pass in senior secondary school examination with Physics, Chemistry and English with Mathematics or Biology as optional subjects / DPharm or any other equivalent qualification recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India.
For Bachelor in Science in Nursing(B.SC (N)):
- Pass in senior secondary school, A-Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English
- Candidate must score a minimum of 45% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
For Post Basic Bachelor in Science in Nursing(PB B.Sc (N)):
- Pass in GNM after senior secondary school or equivalent examination
- Candidate must have sciences subject in 10+2 level.
- The aspirant must score a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
For Bachelor’s in Physiotherapy (B.P.T.):
- Pass in senior secondary school, A-Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, English and Biology.
- Candidates must score a minimum of 40% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
For B.A Journalism:
- Pass in senior secondary school, A-Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent.
- Must score a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate.
- Arts group subjects are preferred.
For Masters in Technology(M.Tech):
- DSAT offer admission Computer Science and Engineering, Specialization: Big data/ Internet of things, Computer Science and Information Technology, Specialization: Cloud Computing, Electronics and communication, Specialization: Embedded system, Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering
- Pass in BE/BTech or Equivalent in Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, Information Science, Electrical & Electronics, Telecommunication, BioMedical Engineering, Medical Electronics, Mechatronics and Instrumentation Engineering.
- Must score a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
- 45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST & OBC category.
For a Masters in Science (M. Sc):
- DSAT offer admission in BioChemistry, BioTechnology, Microbiology through M.Sc.
- A candidate who has passed B.Sc. in any discipline of Life Sciences, Biosciences or Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural, B.E. (Biotechnology), Veterinary and Fishery Sciences, Pharmacy or Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) or Bachelor of Dental Surgery or equivalent examination recognized by DSU.
- Should score a minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects
- 45% in aggregate for candidates belonging to SC/ST candidates.
- For admission to M.Sc. Biochemistry, the candidate must have studied either Chemistry or Biochemistry as one of the major subjects during Bachelors.
For Master of Business Administration(MBA):
- Pass in a Bachelor’s Degree of minimum three-year duration recognized by this University
- Who have passed any other examination recognized by this University or equivalent is also eligible
- The candidates shall have passed the prescribed qualifying examinations with not less than 50% of the marks in the aggregate of all the years of the degree examinations.
- 45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST & OBC category.
For Master in Pharmacy(M Pharm):
- DSAT offer Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology and Pharmaceutics in M Pharma.
- Candidates should have passed B.pharm from an institution recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India.
- Must score a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in B pharma.
For Master in Science of Nursing(M.Sc (N)):
- Candidates should have passed BSc/PC BSc/PB BSc Nursing recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
- Must score a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.
- Experience:
- Applicants must have 1 year of experience after BSc Nursing in a hospital or a community health program or a school or college of nursing.
- PB BSc Degree holders need to have one year experience either before or after Post Basic BSc Nursing degree.
For Master in Physiotherapy (M.P.T):
- Candidates should have passed BPT from a recognized university.
- Applicant must score a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
- Internship: Completed or completing their compulsory internship
