The FTII JET 2023 registration has commenced for interested candidates at www.ftii.ac.in. The entrance exam will be held on March 18th and 19th, 2023 at Film And Television Institute Of India (FTII) Pune and Satyajit Ray Film And Television Institute (SRFTI) Kolkata respectively. The duration of the written test will be three hours, comprising 100 marks in total. Those willing to take take participate must submit their application forms before Saturday, March 4th, 2023.

Selection Criteria of FTII JET 2023

The selection criteria for various courses are listed below:

• Selection criteria for all the above courses except for Acting:

Candidates successful in the exam will be called for orientation and Interview. The final merit list will be prepared based on the written examination (JET), orientation and interview with each stage carrying 20%, 50% (20% practical + 30% written) and 30% marks respectively subject to qualifying in Medical test.

• Selection criteria for PG Diploma course in Acting:

The written examination will be 03 hours duration (JET) for 100 marks, conducted at examination centres around the country. Qualifying candidates in the written examination are further called for an audition. Based on the performance of the written test and audition, Result 1 is prepared with each stage carrying 50% marks. Short-listed Candidates (as per Result 1) will be called for orientation & interview and Medical test. Result 2 is prepared based on orientation & interview. Final merit list will be prepared based on Result 1 and Result 2, each carrying 50% weighting subject to qualifying in the Medical test.

About Film and Television Institute of India (FTII)

The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) was set up by the Government of India in 1960, in the premises of the erstwhile Prabhat Studios in Pune. It Campus currently stands on the grounds of the erstwhile Prabhat Studio. Prabhat Studio was a pioneer in the business of filmmaking and shifted to Pune from Kolhapur in 1933. The archaic studios of the time, which were the production grounds for the films of Prabhat are still present and are being used at FTII. The old Studios of Prabhat are now heritage structures and students continue to work at the world's oldest functioning film shooting studios.
