GU ART PG 2022 Eligibility Criteria must be followed by each candidate who wants to pursue his/her career in PG Programmes / Bachelor of Education at Goa University. The Goa University conducts the Admission Ranking Test at the state level. The eligibility for GU ART PG is based on the score obtained in graduation degree. All candidates have the responsibility to prove that they satisfy the Minimum Education Qualification (MEQs) and Eligibility Requirements(ERs) for the entrance exam. GU ART PG 2022 Eligibility Criteria

GU ART PG 2022 Eligibility Criteria qualification is given below, so candidates must read it carefully. If the candidate found ineligible at any stage of the admission process the applying institute has the right to cancel their admission.

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree from a recognised board/institution.
  • The candidate must have a minimum of 40% marks in UG degree (applicable to all category candidates).
  • The appearing candidates are also eligible to apply for the GU ART PG 2022.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Ed Program

Under the scheme, GU-Art 2022 will also have a B.Ed programme. Only Goan domicile candidates may apply for this course. In addition, only postgraduates are eligible to apply for Commerce/Political Science/ Economics Sociology/Psychology for higher secondary school subjects/ pedagogic subjects.
 

GU ART PG 2022 Eligibility Criteria / MEQs Test-Paper Wise

Please go through the below-mentioned criteria for different courses:

CoursesEligibility

M.A. in English, French, Hindi, Konkani, Marathi, and Portuguese

M.A. in History, Philosophy, Political Science, Sociology

Candidate must have passed (B.A.) from a recognised University with a minimum of 32 credits or three units in the subject for which admission is sought or an examination of any other University recognised as equivalent thereto.
M.A. in Women’s Studies, International Studies and B.Lib.Sc. Graduates in any discipline of the University any of any other University recognised as equivalent.
 M.Lib. Sc.Graduates in Library and Information Science with a minimum of 40% of aggregate marks from any recognized university in India or abroad.

M.Sc. in Mathematics, and Physics and 

M.Sc. in Microbiology, Marine Microbiology, Biochemistry, Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology,
Marine Biotechnology. 

  • An applicant must have a Bachelor of Science of the University or from any other recognized University, with at least 32 credits in the first, second and third years taken together under Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) in the subject for which admission is sought. 
  • A candidate passing the III year B.Sc. Examination with two subjects will be considered eligible to apply for admission to the M.Sc. programme in either of the said two subjects. 
M.Sc in ElectronicsMust hold a Bachelor of Science with Physics/
Computer Science/ Electronics of the University or from any other recognised University. 
 M.Sc. in Biochemistry

Degree of Bachelor of Science of this University or from any other recognized University with Chemistry as a principal subject with 6 units (or 3 units) at T.Y.B.Sc. and at least 8 papers of 100 marks each in the Semester pattern of
examination of Biological Sciences (Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology and allied subjects) in the first, second and third years taken together.

OR

Any of the Biological Sciences as a principal subject with 6 units (or 3 units) at T.Y. B.Sc. and at least 8 papers of 100 marks each in the Semester pattern of examination of Chemistry in the first, second and third years taken together.

M.Sc. in Biotechnology 

Candidates having Bachelor's degree in Natural / Biological & Clinical Sciences, Agricultural /
Veterinary / Fishery Sciences / Pharmacy / Engineering / Technology or 4-years B.Sc. (Physician Assistant) or Medicine (MBBS)

OR

B.D.S.  with minimum 55% marks from a recognised board/university.

M.Sc. in Chemistry and 

M.Sc. in Earth Science (Applied Geology)

  • Bachelor of Science at the University or
    from any other recognized University, with at least 32 credits in the first, second and third years taken together under Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) in the subject for which admission is sought. 
  • In Semester system of examination, the number of papers or units shall be 14, with a total of 1400 marks, out of which eight papers are studied in III years and II years took together and minimum 6 papers in III years for being eligible for PG Programme in applying subject.
  • Applicants passing the III year of B.Sc. with two subjects will be considered eligible.
  • Candidates passing B. Pharm shall also be eligible to apply for M.Sc. in Chemistry and considered for admission as per provisions notified in the concerned Department from time to time. 
M.Sc. in Marine Science
  • Bachelor of Science of the University or from any other recognized University, with at least 32 credits in the first, second and third years taken together under Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) in any of the following subjects: Microbiology, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Earth Sciences.
  • In the Semester system of examination, the number of papers or units shall
    be 21, with a total of 2100 marks, in any of the above subjects, individually or taken together, in the six semesters programme of B.Sc.
Master of Arts in Economics (MA)

A candidate shall have passed Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) of the University with a minimum of 32 credits or three units in the subject for which admission is sought.

OR 

B.A. examination of any other University recognised as equivalent thereto.

 Master of Computer Applications (MCA)

Candidate having Bachelor degree with a first degree in any discipline at first-degree
examination. 

The candidate must have opted Mathematics as one of the subjects at the HSSC (10+2) level or at a higher level.

Masters of Commerce (M.Com) A candidate must have a degree of B.Com/BBA/BBA (FS), of this University or an examination of any other University recognized as equivalent thereto. 

Category Wise Seat Reservation 2022

As per the revised guidelines of the UGC, reservation of seats in case of (SC)/ (ST) candidates for admission to various programmes of study in the University shall be on the basis of the reservation policy of the Goa State Government. The details can be checked below for the same:

Reservation Under Various Categories

The reservation for various categories are as follows:

  • 2% of seats in each of the PG programs of study, shall be reserved for SC category candidates.
  • 12% of seats in each of the Post Graduate programs of study, subject to a minimum of one seat, shall be reserved for ST category candidates.
  • 27% of total seats, subject to a minimum of two seats, for admission to various programs of study, shall be reserved for candidates belonging to other backward classes (OBC) of the State of Goa as per the directives of the State Government. Candidates applying under this category shall be required to submit a certificate issued to that effect by the officer of the rank of the Mamlatdar or above.
  • 5% of total seats, subject to minimum one seat for admission to various programs of study shall be reserved for differently-abled candidates (as per State Government directives).
  • 1% of total seats shall be reserved for Children of Ex-servicemen.
  • 15% of seats, over and above the allotted number of seats, shall be reserved as supernumerary
    seats for the overseas candidates, who are eligible for admission and are recommended by
    Govt. of India under a scholarship from Govt. of India or under exchange programme (ICCR
    Programme). These seats shall be filled in accordance with the UGC guidelines.
  • Out of the 15% supernumerary seats, one seat in each program will be reserved for Kashmiri Migrants (KM) as per directives of the UGC.
