HPCET Entrance Forms will be made available in online mode only by HPTU. All candidates, applying for the exam must ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria of HPCET. They should fill the HPCET 2023 application form before the last date to apply. Candidates are advised to read all the instructions in HPCET 2023 brochure before filling the online application. Similarly, they must visit the official website of HPTU.

The candidates appearing in HPCET 2023 for seeking admission to a particular course must fulfill the HPCET eligibility criteria 2023 for the corresponding course as per norms of All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE)/PCI/UGC or as applicable. The minimum eligibility criteria for the different courses are given in the table below:

B.Tech (Direct Entry) | Passed/appeared 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects securing at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. |
B. Pharmacy (Direct Entry) | Passed/appeared 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject securing at least 45% marks (40% reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. Provided that a student should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the course. |
B. Pharmacy (Ayurveda) | Passed/appeared 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects securing at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. |
BBA | All those candidates who have passed XII examination in any stream from a Board recognized or established by Central/State Government through legislation shall be eligible to apply. Further, the candidate should have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in the case of a candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the qualifying examination. |
BCA | All those candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination in any stream from a Board recognized or established by the Central/State Government through legislation shall be eligible to apply. Further, the candidate should have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in the qualifying examination. |
BHMCT/ B.Sc. (HM& CT) | All those candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination in any stream from a Board recognized or established by Central/State Government through legislation shall be eligible to apply. Further, the candidate should have obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to the SC/ST category) in the qualifying examination. |
M.Sc. Physics | All those candidates who have passed bachelor degree in science with at least 50% marks (45% in case of reserved categories)in aggregate in the three years of degree or honours in the subject concerned i.e. Physics. |
M.Sc. Environment Science | Candidates who have passed three-year B.Sc. degree with Botany, Zoology/Biotechnology and Chemistry or B.Sc. Non- Medical with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with a minimum of 50% marks (45% in case of reserved categories)in aggregate in the three years of the degree. |
M.Tech | Passed/appeared bachelor’s degree (BE/ B.Tech) in relevant branch of Engineering/Technology or equivalent from recognized University securing at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category) at the qualifying examination. |

The Himachal Pradesh Technical University is established in the year 2010 by an Act of the Legislative Assembly of Himachal Pradesh with an objective for value creation and welfare of society through technical education training, research, innovation, entrepreneurship and continuing education programs. At the same time, the University is responsive to the changing and exceptional requirements of our society and economy and contributes to finding answers to global problems. The University offers both short-term and long-term programs leading to Advanced Diploma and Degrees, which are conventional as well as innovative through public and private participation. Most of these programs have been developed after an initial survey of the demand for such Programs.
