The IIAD Design Aptitude Test is a written examination that evaluates a candidate's creative and visual abilities, cultural knowledge, and logical reasoning. IIAD Entrance Exam “Design Aptitude Test ( DAT )” is a qualifying entrance test for admission to Bachelor degree courses in Fashion Design, Interior Architecture & Design, and Communication Design, offered by the Indian Institute of Art & Design, New Delhi. The exam paper is a combination of visual tasks, writing tasks, one-word answers, and multiple-choice questions.

The iDAT is a 2.5 hour long exam with 120 questions. The exam is divided into two sections: Logical Reasoning (60 questions) and Creative Thinking and Problem-solving (60 questions). The questions are multiple-choice and there is no negative marking.

IIAD Entrance Exam 2023 exam syllabus for two sections of test paper is generally based on Class 10th and 12th standard curriculum even though there is specified syllabi defined by the institute.
- Logical Reasoning: This section tests your ability to solve problems using logic and reasoning. Questions in this section may involve puzzles, logic games, and other types of problems that require you to think critically.
- Creative Thinking and Problem-solving: This section tests your ability to think creatively and solve problems. Questions in this section may involve drawing, sketching, and other types of activities that require you to use your imagination.
- Visual Aptitude: This section tests your ability to see and understand visual information. Questions in this section may involve identifying patterns, shapes, and colors.

IIAD Entrance Exam Admit Card 2023
The conducting authority of the IIAD entrance exam will provide the admit card to all the candidates who have successfully registered for admission. IIAD 2023 Hall Ticket will be available online. Students can download the admit card using their registration number and Date of Birth. It is mandatory to carry the admit card on the exam date to avoid any trouble appearing in the exam.
