JEST 2022 Eligbility Criteria: Education Qualification, Age Limit

JEST 2022 Eligibility Criteria is released by the Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB). Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) 2022 will be conducted on 13 March 2022 by the SERB (Science and Engineering Research Board) for admissions into PhD and integrated PhD in computer science, Physics, Computational Biology and Neuroscience. Also known as NET, JEST 2022 has particular eligibility criteria that have to be met by the applying candidates. Various institutes that participate in the JEST 2022 have their specific criteria. JEST 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Theoretical Computer Science at IMSc
- M.Sc or M.E or M.Tech in computer science and related disciplines, focusing on the mathematical aspects of Computer Science are considered eligible at IMSc.
Neuroscience at NBRC
- M.Sc Physics or Mathematics and B.E, B.Tech or MCA in Computer Science are considered eligible for NRBC.
Computational Biology at IMSc
- M.Sc, M.E, M.Tech, MCA in any engineering or science stream with great interest in biological problems and exquisite mathematical skills are considered eligible for IMSc.
INTEGRATED M.Sc OR INTEGRATED M.TECH, PhD PROGRAMME

Theoretical Computer Science at IMSc
- B.Sc, B.E, B.Tech, MCA in Computer Science or related streams with a profound interest in the mathematical aspects of computer science shall be treated eligible for IMSc.
M.Tech - Ph.D. Programme at IIA
- M.Sc Physics, Applied Physics, Post B.Sc (Hons) in Optics and Optoelectronics, Radio Physics and Electronics shall be considered eligible for this particular program.
Ph.D. Programme at IISER IISER. Thiruvananthapuram
- B.Sc Physics or B.E, B.Tech in any branch is considered as eligible for IISER Thiruvananthapuram.
Important Details about JEST 2022 Eligibility Criteria
- The candidates appearing for JEST 2022 must be eligible compulsorily as per the above-mentioned criteria. No relaxation shall be made about eligibility.
- JEST 2022 does not have any specified age limit. Hence, candidates of any age can apply to this examination.
