The JKSET 2022 Eligibility Criteria has been released by the authorities. The University of Kashmir has created the JKSET 2022 Eligibility Criteria. Before going to the application form, candidates must ensure that they meet all of the qualifying requirements. Applicants must read the University of Kashmir's Eligibility Criteria before taking the admission exam.
  • You must hold a UGC-recognized Master's degree with a minimum grade point average of 55 percent for the general category and 50 percent for the reserved category. You can take the exam if you are in your final year of study.
  • If you have a Ph.D. and completed your Master's degree before September 19, 1991, you will be entitled to a 5% reduction in qualifying exam scores.
  • It is recommended that you solely apply for the area of your Master's degree.
  • You do not need to be a permanent resident of the state of Jammu and Kashmir to apply.
  • There is no minimum or maximum age requirement to apply for JKSET 2022.

JKSET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria are requirements for any exam. The University of Kashmir, which administers the JK SET 2022 exam, has established eligibility criteria. Candidates who want to take the JK SET exam must meet the following qualifying requirements:

Academic Requirement (Norm 1)
  • Candidates must have completed their undergraduate studies at a recognized university.
  • For taking the JKSET, Ph.D. candidates receive a 5% reduction in their masters aggregate scores (from 55 percent to 50 percent).
  • For taking the JKSET, you can earn a 5% reduction in aggregate marks (from 55 percent to 50 percent) in masters.
  • Candidates should only appear for their post-graduation subject.
  • Candidates in the general category must score at least 55 percent (without rounding off) in their final qualifying tests, while those in the reserved category must score 50 percent.
  • Candidates who are taking or have taken the Master's degree exams are eligible to take this test.
Exemption from the test (Norm 2)
  • The SET 2022 exam is waived for candidates who have passed the NET/SLET/UGC/CSIR JRF exams.

JK SET 2022 Exam Centres

The JK SET 2022 exam will be conducted by the University of Kashmir in 38 subjects at three centres; Jammu, Srinagar, and Leh. Candidates may choose their choice of centre while applying.
