MAHE MET 2020 Application form has been started from 05 October 2019 for all the courses offered by Manipal Academy. MAHE MET (Manipal Academy of Higher Education Manipal Entrance Test 2020) will be conducted by Manipal Academy of Higher Education. It is the University Level test which is conducted to offer admissions in various UG, PG and Super-Speciality courses. Enrolment will be offered into the field of Engineering, Nursing, Pharmacy and other courses. The Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2020 is likely to be organized in the month of April - May 2020.  The test (1st & 2nd attempt) will be held in more than 50 cities across the country, and the 3rd attempt will be offered to students in the last week of May 2020. MAHE MET was earlier conducted as MU OET (Manipal University Online Entrance Test).

  • Admission to the MBBS/BDS/MD/MS/MDS/DM/MCh courses will be on the basis of the rank obtained in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and counselling/allotment of seats by Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), New Delhi.

MAHE MET 2020 Application Form

The MAHE MET 2020 Application Form (earlier known as MU OET) has been released on 05 October 2019 (Sunday) and available on the official website and the last date to submit the application varies according to the courses candidates applying for. Candidates can check the last date for applying for their respective courses by visiting the official website.

How to Register?

  • Firstly visit the MOET official website
  • Step 1: Candidate needs to mention the Personal details and course details.
  • Step 2: Then, in this step, the candidate needs to Upload Photo (size less than 300 KB) and signature (size less than 300 KB) in JPEG format.
  • Step 3: After that, in this step, the candidate needs to do the Payment by using online or offline payment.
  • The applicants must also take a printout of the duly filled application form and keep it safe for future formalities.

MAHE MET 2020 Application Fee

Mode of Payment: The fee can be paid via below-mentioned modes:

  • Online Payment: Candidate can do the payment by using a Credit card/Debit card or Net Banking.
  • Offline Payment: Candidate can pay the fee by using a Demand Draft (DD) which will be issued in the favour of Manipal Academy of Higher Education, payable at Manipal or Udupi.

NOTE: Kindly note that application/entrance exam fees once remitted, cannot be refunded under any circumstances.

MAHE MET 2020 Slot Booking

Once the application process is completed, MAHE MET 2020 slot booking can be done. According to the slot booking, candidates examination centre will be decided by the conducting body. If candidates preferred centre seats are filled than the conducting body will decide the centre for those candidates. Check details below:

  • The candidate who will successfully register will able to book their slot as per their preference.
  • Candidates have to log in to the Online Test Booking System (OTBS) with OTBS User Id.
  • Booking will be done on the first-come-first-serve basis and subject to slot availability.
  • A slot once booked, CANNOT be changed under any circumstance.
  • The OTBS will be available only after the completion of the application process and will be active after the last date of application submission.
  • If the candidate is not satisfied by his/her performance than the candidate can again book the slot for the 2nd attempt entrance test by paying Rs. 1400.

MAHE MET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The mentioned MAHE MET 2020 eligibility criteria must be fulfilled by the candidates who want to appear for the Manipal Entrance Test 2020:

  • For B.Tech: The candidate must have passed their class 12th or equivalent exam from a recognized board with Mathematics, Physics, English and Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical vocational subject and a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects.
  • For B.Tech Lateral Entry: The candidate must have passed 3-year Diploma granted by the board od technical examination with minimum 45% in BSc Degree with Mathematics in 12th standard.
  • For M.Tech: The applicants must have done BE/ B.Tech or any other equivalent degree with at least 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam.
  • For BBA: The candidates must have passed 12th or an equivalent exam from a recognized board and have scored a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate are eligible.
  • For BA Media & Communication: The candidate must have passed 12th in the art group with a minimum of 45%.
  • For B.Pharm: The candidate must have passed 12th with English as one of the subject and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology as optional subjects securing a minimum of 50%.

MAHE MET 2020 Admit Card

MAHE MET 2020 Admit Card will be available after the slot booking of the candidates. Candidates can check the important information related to Manipal Entrance Test 2020 Admit card:

  • MET 2020 Hall Ticket will get released after 24 hours of the slot booking.
  • Candidate can download the admit card from the official website itself.
  • A soft copy of the admit card will be emailed to the registered email is of the candidates.
  • It will be mandatory for the candidates to bring one hard copy of the admit card and one valid ID proof (Aadhaar Card, Pan Card, Voter ID card, Passport) on the day of the examination.
  • After downloading the admit card, candidates should check all the details printed on the admit card should be correct.

MAHE MET 2020 Exam Pattern

MAHE MET 2020 exam pattern will be different for different courses offered through MET. Candidates can check the complete format of MAHE Manipal Entrance Exam question paper which is common for all courses is given below:

  • Mode of Examination: The exam will be held through Online (CBT) only.
  • Type of Questions: The paper will consist of Objective type (MCQs) questions.
  • Medium: The MET 2020 will be in the English language.
  • Marking Scheme: (+) 4 for Correct and (-) 1/4 for Incorrect, 0 for unattempted questions.

MAHE MET 2020 Syllabus

MAHE MET 2020 syllabus will be different for different exams. 

  • The syllabus for the entrance test will be based on the curriculum of the qualifying exam.
  • The candidates preparing for UG entrance exam must refer to their class 11th and 12th syllabus and those preparing for PG entrance exam should refer to their bachelor’s degree curriculum.

MAHE MET 2020 Result will be declared by the conducting body on the official website. The result will be based on the marks scored by the candidates in the examination. For the qualified candidates, the merit list will be prepared by the conducting body.

MAHE MET 2020 Tie-Breaking

If more than one candidate scores a similar rank, then tie-breaking criteria will be followed:

  • The candidates who will score higher marks in Mathematics will be considered.
  • If the tie still exists then the candidates who will score higher marks Physics will be considered.
  • If the tie still exists then the candidates who will score higher marks Chemistry will be considered.
  • If the tie still exists then the candidates who will be senior in the age that will be considered.

MAHE MET 2020 Counselling

MAHE MET 2020 Counselling will commence from the first week of June 2020 post result declaration. The necessary info associated with the counselling method is mentioned below for the reference of the applicants:

  1. Authority is conducting a counsel process within June.
