MHT CET 2023 Syllabus Details

For MHT CET 2023 examination there will be five subjects in the syllabus which is listed below:

  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Mathematics
  • Biology (Botany)
  • Biology (Zoology)

MHT CET 2023 Exam Pattern

MHT CET exam pattern is divided into two session which is listed below:

  • PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
  • PCM (Physics, Chemsitry, Mathematics)

PCB Exam Pattern

  • Mode of Exam: Exam will be in online CBT (Computer Based Test) examination
  • Medium of Examination: English, Marathi or Urdu 
  • Type of Questions: MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions)
  • Total Question: 200 question and 1 marks for each question
  • Maximum Marks: 200 marks
  • Duration: 90 Mins

PCM Exam Pattern

  • Mode of Exam: Exam will be in online CBT (Computer Based Test) examination
  • Medium of Examination: English, Marathi or Urdu for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics will be only in English
  • Type of Questions: MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions)
  • Total Question: 150 question and 1 marks for each question for Physics, Chemistry and  Mathematics will have 2 marks for each question. 
  • Maximum Marks: 150 marks
  • Duration: 90 Mins

MHT CET 2023 Preparation Tips

All the preparation tips listed here are going to help the candidates to prepare better for the MHT CET 2023.
  • Candidate must read the important preparation books for MHT CET 2023 examination.

What has changed in the MHT CET 2023 Syllabus?

There are a number of changes in the syllabus for MHT CET 2023. To start with, the syllabus is reduced as per the reduction of syllabus of class 11-12 syllabus of the state board. It has been clearly stated that all the portions that were deleted for the board exams will also not be asked in the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test.

Other than that, if you compare the topics mentioned under class 11 topics, of the last year syllabus and this year, there is a lot of difference.

Last year, the following topics were included in the MHT CET syllabus from class 11:

  • Physics – Measurements, Scalars and Vectors, Force, Friction in solids and liquids, Refraction of Light, Ray optics, Magnetic effect of electric current, Magnetism.
  • Chemistry – Some basic concepts of Chemistry, States of matter: Gases and liquids, Redox reaction, Surface Chemistry, Nature of chemical bond, Hydrogen, s-Block elements(Alkali and alkaline earth metals), Basic principles and techniques in Organic Chemistry, Alkanes.
  • Mathematics – Trigonometric functions, Trigonometric functions of Compound Angles, Factorization Formulae, Straight Line, Circle and Conics, Sets, Relations and Functions, Probability, Sequences and series.
  • Botany – Diversity in organisms, Biochemistry of cell, Plant Water Relations and Mineral Nutrition, Plant Growth and Development.
  • Zoology – Organization of Cell, Animal tissues, Human Nutrition, Human Respiration.
