OSSTET Eligibility Criteria 2022 is described here in this article. Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before applying for OSSTET. The candidate must be an Indian citizen. The candidate must be able to communicate in Odia both orally and in writing. Any of the following qualifications will be taken into account when determining the candidate's ability. Candidates having a graduate degree in the relevant field are eligible to apply for this test, and candidates must meet the educational requirements set forth by the Board of Secondary Education in Odisha for the position they desire to apply for.

TGT Science: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) / Chemistry, Botany, Zoology (CBZ) | Bachelor's degree is required in Science with any of the two subjects PCM or CBZ as honours or optional or elective or passed it with a minimum of 50% marks from any of the recognised university and Bachelor's in Education (B.Ed) from any recognised Institute by NCTE. OR Four years of integrated degree in B.Sc and B.Ed from any of the recognised Institute in PCM or in CBZ as honours or optional or elective or passed it with a minimum of 50% marks |
| TGT Arts | Four years of integrated B.A and B.Ed from any of the Institute recognised by NCTE in any of the two (English, Hindi, Odia and Sanskrit and History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Indian Economy, Landmarks in Indian History, Indian Polity and Indian Geography as honours or optional or elective or passed it with a minimum of 50% marks. OR Bachelor's degree in arts or commerce with in any two of the subjects ( English, Hindi, Odia, Sanskrit, History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Indian Economy Landmarks in Indian History, Indian polity and Indian Geography) |

| Classical Teacher for Sanskrit | Bachelor's degree in or with Sanskrit as an optional or honours or elective or pass subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate alongside Siksha Shastri (Sanskrit) degree from a recognized institute. |
| Classical Teacher for Telugu | Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in arts with Telugu with 50% of marks in aggregate along with B.Ed |
| Classical Teacher for Urdu | Candidates must have passed B.A in the Persian language with an aggregate of 50% of marks and B.Ed from any of the recognised Institute or University OR Alim with the aggregate of 50% of marks |
