The candidates can go through these eligible requirements regarding age restriction, qualification in education and fitness for life.

• As on August 1, 2023, a candidate must be at least 14 years old.
• Those interested in applying for the trade of Mechanic (Motor Vehicle) must be 17 years old by August 1, 2023.

• However, all applicants applying for the above Trades must take a Common Screening Test, and ultimate admission is determined by the screening test merit list and the reservation policy.

• There is no upper age limit for applicants to the craftsman training programme.

The educational requirements for various trades vary, as mentioned below.

• Candidates must have completed 8th grade or its equivalent from a recognised school or educational board.
• All applicants who wish to apply for these trades must take a Common Admission Test, and final admission is determined by a merit list.

• Candidates must have passed the class 10th examination or its equivalent at a recognised school/board of education.
• Candidates who are awaiting the results of their class 10th exams are also welcome to apply. However, such candidates must submit their class 10th grade mark sheet within the specified time frame.

• An candidate cannot have an infectious disease or show signs of a pandemic. Furthermore, the applicant must be clear of disorders that cause push-pull.
• At the time of admission, all candidates must have an updated health record/medical fitness certificate.
• PwD candidates will be assigned to a trade that is appropriate for their impairment and is based on a Medical Certificate from a Government Medical Practitioner.
• PwD candidates must provide a 125 x 75 mm photograph clearly displaying their impairment, as well as a Medical Certificate issued by a Government Medical Practitioner.
